Audio Bug?Edit

Has anyone else had an issue where when recruiting CuSith to be your follower, subtitles show he is supposed to be "whining" and "barking" but no sound comes out? — Unsigned comment by PrometheusTheElf (talkcontribs) at 23:40 on July 3, 2012

I have had that happen with both Death Hounds even "talking" to them they make no sound, dunno why that is though. --SPMcKinney 03:45, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
According to CSList, their VTYP (Voice type, a master file that links the character to the individual dialogue files), CrDogDeathHound (xx011681) has no sounds associated with it. According to their race, female Death Hounds use the regular CrDogVoice (0001f180), which is why you can randomly encounter normally barking/growling/whining Death Hounds. • JATalk 04:00, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

Hearthfire?Edit

Can CuSith or Garmr become pets with the Hearthfire plug-in? The Dawnguard dogs can. — Unsigned comment by 74.45.35.31 (talk) at 00:29 on 30 October 2012

That is currently unknown, can you test it on a separate save and report back? Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:51, 30 October 2012 (GMT)

Respawn if they dieEdit

Do they respawn if they die?— Unsigned comment by 201.25.163.220 (talk) at 00:19 on 1 January 2013 (GMT)

No, neither CuSith or Garmr respawn.--Skyrimplayer (talk) 00:32, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

PronunciationEdit

If the vampires refer to CuSith how do they pronounce his name? I know in the original gaidhlig its pronounced "coo-shee" but I am curious to if they included that in the game. — Unsigned comment by 80.80.176.188 (talk) at 06:44 on 28 July 2013

His name doesn't appear in any dialogue lines in the game, so it is never actually heard aloud. — ABCface 13:16, 28 July 2013 (GMT)
The Irish word for hound is 'Cú', pronounced 'coo' and the word for a burial mound is 'sídhe', pronounced 'shEEdeh'. The latter is where 'banshee' comes from also. So I'm guessing that these two words are what the hound's name is derived from. GallonOfAlan (talk) 12:55, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Hired thugs?Edit

Is it a known bug that CuSith can send hired thugs after you? I'm looking at the contract right now. — Unsigned comment by 86.21.213.56 (talk) at 13:11 on 19 June 2014‎

Yeah, several animals can do this and even report crimes. A Forsworn Briarheart can even send a bounty after you for stealing his heart. See: Skyrim_talk:Crime#ChickenFaction_reporting_crime --Jimeee (talk) 13:18, 19 June 2014 (GMT)
