Master Sledrig

Master Sledrig is the main quest giver in Bards College Expansion. He works as the "Archbard of Songcraft" at the Bards College of Solitude, and can be seen giving lectures about singing and writing songs to the college students.

Like the rest of the staff, he will refuse to talk to the player if Tending the Flames is not completed. Once the player has officially become a member of the Bards College, however, he will send Helvana to notify the player he wishes to train them personally, as he claim he can teach them to master their voice. His first lesson will be to send the player to a bard party at the Winking Skeever to mingle with other bards and help Helvana with some negotiations. Afterwards, however, if the player is not yet recognized as the Dragonborn, he will direct them to start their journey on the Skyrim main quest until, at least, completion of The Way of the Voice. To the Dragonborn player, he will explain that what he wants to teach are special techniques to modify the Thu'um that he discovered using methods different from those of the Greybeards. These techniques include the Resonating Shout and the Chant.

EvolutionEdit

As the storyline progresses, the visual appearance of Sledrig changes. This is handled technically by using different NPCs for his later appearances.
