Velfred is a Nord Vampire of the Cronvangr Clan.

In addition to being the clan's head of security, Velfred is also Vlkoslak's right-hand man and self-appointed bodyguard. He also serves as the ambassador to other clans, carrying out the actual work of forging alliances to rebuild the Cronvangr's influence in Skyrim. Whether he believes in the Cronvangr's doctrine doesn't matter at this point, he believes in Vlkoslak and follows where he leads without question.

BackgroundEdit

Not much is known about Velfred's early life, but it is confirmed that he is one of the older members of the clan. When Vlkoslak still served under Fjotreid as head of the clan's hunters, Velfred assisted with his duties and formed a friendship with the older vampire. He was present at the time of Vidmar's failed coup, and helped Vlkoslak reassemble the clan as best they could after the traitors were driven out; taking Vidmar's place as head of security and Vlkoslak's right-hand man. For over 200 years, Velfred has made it his purpose in life to protect Vlkoslak and the clan from any threats to their survival, from within or without.
