< Skyrim - The Adventure Game: Campaigns

This article is about the Adventure Game campaign. For the Loranna's RP campaign, see Loranna's RP/From the Ashes.

Grahkrindrog has returned to cause havoc.
A creature of legend and nightmare. Hundreds of years ago, Grahkrindrog terrorized the province of Skyrim. It's said to be the size of a palace. Grahkrindrog's resurgence from the ashes is bad news for Skyrim.

From the Ashes, also known as Grahkrindrog, is the titular mini-campaign of the From the Ashes expansion. It introduces a challenging 10-part dragon encounter that can be played during Chapter 2 of the Civil War campaign. Not only does Grahkrindrog provide challenging combat, he will also terrorize Skyrim, Degrade Strongholds, spread Threat, and make the Hold he occupies inaccessible. A New Menace is added to the Event deck to begin the campaign.

Although Grahkrindrog is placed on a single space on the Game Board, his presence makes entering the entire Hold begin Combat with him. This means that multiple players can enter the Hold from different paths and still fight Grahkrindrog together. From the Ashes' World Quests cannot be failed. If you fail combat against Grahkrindrog, the World Quest remains active.

WalkthroughEdit

A New MenaceEdit

Reborn in fire, the legendary Dragon Grahkrindrog arises to wreak havoc in Skyrim. Only you can stop it.

Grahkrindrog appears in the Starting Player's Hold. Each turn, the Stronghold in Grahkrindrog's Hold is Degraded and Grahkrindrog moves to an adjacent Hold. If the Stronghold he is in is Rioting, 1 Threat per player is added instead. You must enter Grahkrindrog's Hold and defeat Distant Grahkrindrog and Circling Grahkrindrog in a single encounter.

After completing both encounters, Grahkrindrog retreats. Each player gains 7 Experience and 2 Components of their choice. Flying Death is then added to the Event deck.

Flying DeathEdit

The Dragon Grahkrindrog has been spotted in a nearby Hold. It must be stopped.

Grahkrindrog appears in Whiterun Hold. A Town Exploration card is discarded every turn. If the Town Exploration deck is empty, 1 Threat is added to each active Quest instead. You must enter Grahkrindrog's Hold and defeat Flying Grahkrindrog and Landed Grahkrindrog in a single encounter.

After completing both encounters, Grahkrindrog retreats again. Each player gains 10 Experience and 3 Components of their choice. Flame and Despair is then added to the Event deck.

Flame and DespairEdit

Grahkrindrog has been wounded, and now seeks revenge.

Grahkrindrog appears in the Hold of the player with the highest amount of Experience. Each turn, 1 Dragon is placed on a space in Grahkrindrog's Hold and Grahkrindrog moves to an adjacent Hold. You must enter Grahkrindrog's Hold and defeat Enraged Grahkrindrog, Defensive Grahkrindrog, and Retreating Grahkrindrog in a single encounter.

After completing all encounters, Grahkrindrog retreats for a third time. Each player gains 13 Experience and 4 Components of their choice. The Dying Monster is then added to the Event deck.

The Dying MonsterEdit

Wounded and hurt, Grahkrindrog continues to sow destruction in Skyrim. Your destiny awaits. Deal the final blow.

Grahkrindrog appears in a Hold with no players in. Each turn, all Strongholds are Degraded and Grahkrindrog moves to another Hold with no players. You must enter Grahkrindrog's Hold and defeat Wounded Grahkrindrog, Cornered Grahkrindrog, and Agonizing Grahkrindrog in a single encounter.

After completing all encounters, Grahkrindrog is finally dead. Each player gains 2 Dragon Treasure, 20 Septims, 15 Experience, and 6 Components of their choice.
