Detailed WalkthroughEdit

A personal matterEdit

When talking to Geod about orders he will tell you there is a personal matter that needs taken care of. He'll tell you that a former member of the Guild, Frinad Cantor, deserted to go work for Rolic Gilded-Shield. To prove a point to Rolic, Geod will ask you to go to Gilded-Shield Manor and kill Frinad.

The release of FrinadEdit

To find Gilded-Shield Manor you'll need to exit Karthwasten through the southern city gate, take the road east and keep going along the road until you see the manor before you. Inside the Manor, you'll need to go to the 2nd floor and find Frinad, when talking to him you can either choose to attack him or you can decide to hear him out. When you decide to hear Frinad out he'll tell you he doesn't want to be killed about some grudge and he'll ask you to convince Rolic to release him from his services. Go find Rolic, who is on the 1st floor, and ask him to release Frinad. Rolic is more than happy to let Frinad go because he was useless anyway. Go back to Frinad and he'll give you Frinad's Guild Key as thanks.

Or kill himEdit

You can also choose to just tell Frinad your here to kill him, watch out for the rest of the mercenaries in the Manor as there are quite a lot of them and they can come to Frinad's aid. If you killed Frinad be sure to loot Frinad's Guild Key from his corpse and exit the Manor.

Return to GeodEdit

If you chose to spare Frinad, Geod will be quite irritated that Frinad is still alive but doesn't suspect you had anything to do with it, he'll give you 100 gold for the legwork. If you chose to kill Frinad, Geod will be pleased with you and he'll give you 100 gold and the Ring of the Double-Edged Torch.
