DutiesEdit

Talk to Ji'Tavarad in the Karthwasten Guild of Mages for your duties, he'll tell you the Guild is hired about some dispute in the Red Palace. Go talk to Franco Azarius of the Barristers Guild in the Red Palace about what troubles him.

The problemEdit

When you talk to Franco, who can be found overlooking the throne room of the Red Palace, he'll tell you that Rissoc sold a case of fabric to Pelbelle Tiralese but upon delivery Pelbelle noticed there was too much fabric in the case, now Rissoc wants the rest of the fabric back as it isn't paid for. Franco asks you to go talk to Rissoc and Pelbelle to see who is speaking the truth about the matter.

Find out the truthEdit

You can find Rissoc in the Dancing Saber Tavern on the upper floor, go talk to him and he'll tell you that his deceased carriage guard was trying to frame him for stealing the extra bolts of cloth. Now go to Pelbelle in the Bazaar, she believes the extra bolts came from Oblivion and so she shredded the cloth apart and set it on fire, she'll also tells you she doesn't believe Rissoc's frame up story.

Make a choiceEdit

Once you've heard both stories, return to Franco and you can choose to back up Rissoc, Pelbelle or you can choose there is not enough evidence to make a choice. If you made your choice, go back to Ji'Tavarad.

  • If you chose Pelbelle, Ji'Tavarad will reward you with 500 Gold, go back to Pelbelle to receive 2 Bolt of Cloth and an Expensive Shirt.
  • If you believe Rissoc, Ji'Tavarad will reward you with 500 Gold, go back to Rissoc to receive an extra 300 Gold.
  • If you don't choose at all, Ji'Tavarad will be disappointed and you'll only receive 300 Gold.

Now if your ready for your next task speak to Ji'Tavarad again.

NotesEdit

  • If you chose Pelbelle Tiralese for telling the truth and when you return to her to tell her you chose her, you can keep talking to her about case of fabric to keep receiving Bolt of Cloth and Expensive Shirts.

10 The Karthwasten Mages Guild has been contracted to lend its expertise in a legal dispute between two local traders. Ji'Tavarad has asked me to speak with a member of the Barrister's Guild named Franco Azarius in the Red Palace.
20 It seems the dispute concerns a case of fabric purchased by Pelbelle Tiralese from a passing trader. En route to the city, however, the case of silks somehow acquired a great deal more silk than should have been packed inside. The trader, a Redguard named Rissoc, contests the sale, claiming ownership of the extra silks. Franco Azarius asked me to appraise the situation by speaking with Pelbelle at the Karthwasten Bazaar and Rissoc at the Dancing Saber tavern.
30 I spoke with Pelbelle Tiralese, who told me that the extra bolts of cloth in the contested case came from Oblivion.
40 I spoke with Rissoc, who told me that the extra bolts of cloth in the contested case were part of a plot by his deceased carriage-guard to frame him for theft.
50 I returned to Franco Azarius, and told him that I believe Pelbelle Tiralese. According to Franco, my word will be crucial in winning the case for Rissoc. In the meantime, Pelbelle might be glad to know of my efforts...
60 I returned to Franco Azarius, and told him that I believe Rissoc. According to Franco, my word will be crucial in winning the case for Rissoc. In the meantime, Rissoc might be glad to know of my efforts...
70 I returned to Franco Azarius, and told him that I don't believe enough evidence exists to decide the case definitively. According to Franco, the Thane will probably order the extra fabric split between Pelbelle Tiralese and Rissoc.
80 Pelbelle Tiralese gave me two of the bolts of cloth and a fine outfit for my participation in the case of the extra cloth.
90 Rissoc gave me a tidy sum of gold for my assistance in the case of the extra cloth.
100 Finishes quest  Ji'Tavarad was somewhat disappointed that my word had not decisively settled the dispute over the case of fabric, but he gave me some gold for my trouble.
105 Finishes quest  Ji'Tavarad was glad to hear of my role in settling the dispute over the case of fabric, and rewarded me with a hefty sum of gold.
110 Finishes quest  Ji'Tavarad was glad to hear of my role in settling the dispute over the case of fabric, and rewarded me with a hefty sum of gold.
