The Nix-Ox War-Steed was given away for free to those who owned the Morrowind Chapter during certain promotional periods. It was first given away to Morrowind owners who logged in at any point from November 17 to 26, 2017.[1] The promotion later returned and lasted from December 22 to 31, 2017.[2] Its default name is "Thoraxo".

To receive this mount, participants needed to log into the game before November 26 while owning ESO: Morrowind. They mount was distributed on November 28, 2017. The second time around, participants needed to log into the game before December 31 while owning ESO: Morrowind. The mount was applied to participants' accounts by January 4, 2018.
