Nature's Preservation are hardy trees and bushes that Caillaiofe summons around her to give herself and any of her summoned allies temporary invulnerability to damage during her boss fight in Bloodroot Forge.
The Shademother, the boss of Shademother's Haven, also summons this barrier. In her case, touching the barrier knocks you back and to the ground (where Break Free cannot be used) and the only way to bypass the barrier, other than waiting it out, is to kill a Shadow that gets summoned around the same time, which then teleports you inside the barrier.
