Quest-Related EventsEdit
The Weight of Three CrownsEdit
As you walk towards the summit point with Vanus Galerion and Countess Hakruba he will notice the former and bow respectfully, shouting:
- Mim: "Sir!"
He can later be seen heading through the portal to Coldharbour.
The Endless WarEdit
Before starting the quest, you will find Mim, Juline and Relmus all bound by Daedric magic at the entrance to the Cliffs of Failure.
After agreeing to join the latest game as a wild card, the mages will be teleported by the Observer to the battlefield. Once you enter the battlefield, you soon will find Juline and Mim, who just stabbed her:
- Mim: "This one is so sorry, Juline. I do this because I must. One of us has to make it out of here and get back to our mission."
- <Mim runs off.>
- Juline Ginis: "Why, my dear friend? Why have you done this?"
Eventually you can catch up to Mim, who is surrounded by corpses and is on edge:
- "Stay away from Mim!
Don't … don't make this one hurt you. Mim will win this game. Mim will beat everyone and get us out of here. All of us!" - Calm down. I'm here to help.
- "Help? You can't help. We're stuck here. Fighting to the death. No one gets out alive. That's just how the game works.
Mim will kill them all. Even the Observer. Then he'll have to let us out. He can't hold us here if he's dead!" - You need to get a hold of yourself. I'm going to help you.
- "Help? Just like this one's new master, Thallik, has helped? He tossed me in this pit, gave me this rune, and wished me luck.
I don't even know what to do with the rune!"
- "Help? Just like this one's new master, Thallik, has helped? He tossed me in this pit, gave me this rune, and wished me luck.
- I agree that the Observer is the problem here.
- "Glad to hear it! Good to know you weren't fooled by his promises. Or are you just saying that?
Maybe he sent you to follow Mim. Maybe you're part of his game. This one doesn't know what to believe! And this stupid rune Thallik gave me. It's useless!"
- "Glad to hear it! Good to know you weren't fooled by his promises. Or are you just saying that?
- You stabbed your own ally. Why would you do that?
- "Mim needed to slow Juline down. She's hard-headed. Ready to rush into battle at the smallest provocation. It may not seem like it, but Mim saved her life.
What does it matter if this one can't figure out what to do with Thallik's stupid rune?" - What did Thallik say the rune does? (All of the above options lead to this reply.)
- "He said it harnessed the power of the dead, whatever that means. Called it his death rune. It's dark magic and Mim wants no part of it!
Show Mim you actually want to help and figure out what to do with the rune. Maybe we can use it against him." - Thallik gave you no instructions at all?'
- "Thallik said to look for the runes on the ground. Some kind of circle. The moons take Mim if this one understood a word he said!
You figure it out. Just don't make Mim regret this. This one is trusting you because you haven't attacked Mim. Yet."
- "Thallik said to look for the runes on the ground. Some kind of circle. The moons take Mim if this one understood a word he said!
- "He said it harnessed the power of the dead, whatever that means. Called it his death rune. It's dark magic and Mim wants no part of it!
- "Mim needed to slow Juline down. She's hard-headed. Ready to rush into battle at the smallest provocation. It may not seem like it, but Mim saved her life.
If you speak with him again, he will say:
- "Whatever that rune does, this one wants no part of it.
Maybe you can figure out how to use it to our advantage. Might even provide an edge against the Observer."
After encountering Thallik and charging the rune, you can return to Mim.
- "The scent of death lingers about you.
This one supposes you found a way to harness the true power of the rune, yes?" - Yes, Thallik told me how to use the rune.
- "Then our journey continues for a while longer. Watching our steps from here on out, yes?
If you can still help my companions, Mim asks that you do so. We need to find a way out of this. Together."
Speaking to him again after using the rune:
- "Perhaps there is a way to use Thallik's offer of power to our advantage. This one will have to think about this a little more."
After you helped the mages, they will be back at the entrance of the cliffs where they will be presented as projections under the Observer's eye.
The Will of the WormEdit
If you agree to side with Thallik, Mim can be found at his camp:
- "Are you mad? You decided to help Thallik? Willingly? How can you imagine that was a good idea?
This one hopes you know what you're doing."
After you speak with Thallik, Mim will ask you to be careful:
- "This one thinks you need to be cautious. The champions are fearsome opponents.
But, please, try not to injure my fellow mages."'
After the two champions are defeated, Mim can be found waiting for you outside the entrance:
- "Good, good! This one hoped he would find you. Mim worried that some terrible fate had befallen you.
There was a terrible commotion and then the Observer appeared. He seemed angry, but also kind of excited. What did you do?" - I defeated the other champions.
- "Ah, that explains it! No one has ever done such a thing before. The Observer said he would have to change the rules now.
But this one wonders, where are his friends?" - They were controlled by the other leaders. I freed them and they ran off.
- "I must find them! We will band together and escape this place, one way or another.
Where were you rushing off to, by the way?" - The Observer told me to come collect my reward.
- "Yes … that is what the Observer meant when he said he was changing the rules. Thallik was so angry. He stormed off. Muttered that if the Observer died, no one would be left to enforce the rules.
I will find the others and meet you up there."
Speaking to him again:
- "This one has a bad feeling about this. Be careful up there."
When the Observer challenges you, both him and the other mages will assist you.
During the fight, the mages will be banished and can later be found caged. The revived Observer will give you the choice to free either the mages or Thallik. You can speak with Mim and Thallik for their opinion.
Currently, he says this:
- "This one never expected this development."
In previous updates, he used to say this:
- "You must pick Mim! Do not select that one over there.
He is evil. Pure evil! Do not make such a terrible mistake."
He will beg you to release the mages instead of Thallik:
- What do you think I should I do?
- "Well, this one is trapped in a cage. Could be pointy sticks poking my tender paws, but otherwise ….
What do I think? I think you should choose your Mages Guild allies and get us out of here!" - Shouldn't I select Thallik? He is more powerful than you.
- "How powerful could the lying one be? He's as trapped as we are!
We came to this dreadful realm to accomplish something great. Please, let us see this through alongside you."
Depending on your choice, Mim can be found near Cliffs of Failure after the Observer teleports the freed outside. If you managed to save both the mages and Thallik, he will be outside the cliffs with his companions and Thallik. He will be annoyed that you also freed Thallik:
- "At first, Mim was excited to be free.
But then he saw who was standing next to him. You couldn't just leave him, no?"
After the quest when you finish speaking to Thallik:
- "When we found ourselves here, Mim wasn't sure what to do.
That mistake will not be made again. Mim will find this city and wait for the others."
If you only saved the mages, he will instead say:
- "Ah ha! Mim knew you would make the right decision. Let the evil one rot in there.
But this one wonders, what do we do now?" - There's a safe haven to the west. The Hollow City.
- "This one will find it. That was where we were headed when we got separated from the others.
At least I am no longer under the thumb of that horrible, horrible Breton!"
After completing the quest:
- "(?)"

If you sided with Angof or Estre, Thallik will ensorcel Mim to assist his champion.
Later on, Mim will help with fighting the Observer only to get banished. You will find him in a cage with the other mages. He can only say:
- "This one never expected this development."
If you choose to free the mages, Mim will be found outside the Cliffs.
- "What a cruel game we were forced to play! This one is just grateful that we all survived."
DialogueEdit
If you decided to rescue the mages, Mim can be found on the patio outside the Library in the Hollow City:
- "This one apologized for stabbing Juline. She … didn't seem to accept it, though. This one thinks she's going to need time to forgive Mim.
Mim hope [sic] she knows that what Mim did was for her own good. To save her. Sounds strange, even to Mim, yes?"
Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Minor Wound
- A basic ranged attack that does minor magical damage.
- Focused Healing
- The enemy will heal any allies that are hurt, including itself. Enemies often indicate this by calling out for healing (I'm hurt!, I need healing!, Healer! etc.) This effect appears as a yellow beam connecting the healer and its target. This spell can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance.
