Once you completed Quest for the Cure, Sergeant Nen will be walking towards the Verobar house and have overheard news of a search for the cure, which he will comment:
- "Narsis must hear of this."
Speaking to him:
- "So the Maulborn lies to everyone. I figured as much. This doesn't bode well for Narsis, though."
- Is something wrong?
- "Narsis sent me to investigate Quarantine Serk. Now that I know a mad cult is poisoning our people, I'm even more concerned.
- The Maulborn are a menace."
- There are more of these Maulborn?
- "They're appearing all across Deshaan. Even Narsis is in danger.
- I need to stay here and finish my investigation. If you're heading south, would you carry a message to Guard Verilu at Narsis? She needs to know what happened here."
- I can do that.
Speaking to him again:
- "Thanks, friend. Be careful on the roads. The Maulborn are everywhere. If you see one, stab the s'wit or run away. Don't try to talk to these fanatics. You'll get nowhere."
