When you free Treethane Bowenas from the red crystal in Ezreba's house, Balras' projection will appear:
- Balras Arenim: "You're too late! The Stonefire burns brightly! The Dro-m'Athra are unbound and they shall destroy you!"
Inside the Greenhill Catacombs' first room, his projection appears again:
- Balras Arenim: "Dro-m'Athra, free yourselves and destroy the intruder!"

When you approach the ritual site, you'll hear:
- Balras Arenim: "Once the Drom'Athra [sic] are free, all of Reaper's March shall be ours!"
He yells at you when you engage him in combat.
- Balras Arenim: "You've interfered for the last time. Now I will end you!"
Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Fire Runes
- The enemy shoots two fireballs in the air which form two fire runes when they land. The runes do moderate flame damage over time to all enemies within the red circles and should be avoided. Players should be prepared to move as soon as the attack casts as one rune will always be cast on top of you.
- Flare
- A basic ranged attack that does minor flame damage.
- Heat Wave
- The enemy releases fire along the ground in the direction it is facing. This attack does moderate flame damage to all players hit by it. This spell can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.
- Void
- The enemy summons a purple orb from the sky that explodes when it hits the ground splitting into three projectiles. Although there is a large red circle indicator for this attack, the player will not take damage unless hit by the projectile itself. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.
- Magelight
- The enemy summons a mote of magelight, revealing stealthed and invisible players around itself for 5 seconds. Exposed players cannot return to stealth or invisibility for 3 seconds.
