Oblivion talk:Brittlerock Cave
Complete walkthroughEdit
Chest with gold close to entrance. First enemy is a Daedroth who guards an average chest with potion and gold. Keep right tunnelwise and encounter a Flame Atronach. Continue and meet 2 Clannfears. Chest on left side of tunnel contains gold. Continue and face a Dremora Kynval and a Daedroth as the cave widens. Find chest left side with 2 potions inside. Head on further into the cave and it widens again. Fight a Clannfear, a summoned Scamp and a Dremora Kynval. Chest on right side contains Expert Retort, one potion and gold. The cave contains an altar and a smashed stone God. Heading into the left tunnel is a dead end, but contains a chest of average difficulty with gold inside. Behind the smashed statue is a wooden door which opens into Brittlerock Lower Passages. Once down the passage confront a Flame Atronach and a Clannfear. Chest contains gold and a gold sapphire ring. Take the leftish tunnel and meet a Clannfear and a Daedroth. There ia also a chest with gold here on the left side. Head on further and you will reach a cavern with water in the middle. You must fight a Clannfear, a summoned Scamp, a Daedroth and a Dremora Kynval immediately. There is also one Dremora Kynreeve inside this cavern. There's Slaughterfish in the water. Pond also contains a chest with one potion and gold. Right across the pond in the back of the cavern is another chest with gold. Another Scamp will show up. A passage leads up left of the pond. This passage is guarded by a Dremora Kynreeve. At the end of this passage is a door leading out to the Gold Coast.
Instead of leaving, head back to where you killed the last Flame Atronach. At this location there is a wooden door that leads into a passage with an average chest containing gold and Stinkhorn Cap. Some feet deeper inside you will enter a cave guarded by a Daedroth. Cave contains a chest with 2 potions and a large stone chest containing gold and a Common Soul Gem. Head on back again, passing the dead Flame Atronach and through the wooden door into Brittlerock Cave again. When you are almost by the passage leading out to the Gold Coast, enter the last tunnel you didn't head into when you first entered this map. Facing outwards this would be the tunnel to your right (if you take this tunnel when you first enter the map, it would be a tunnel on your left side). Halfway inside this passage you find a chest with gold and one Lesser Soul Gem. Continue along the tunnel, and at the end of a slope is a wooden door. This opens up into a cave with one large stone coffin, but you cannot interact with it....:-) Now turn back and take the tunnel that leads outside. On the way out I saw I had missed a sack close to the entrance but it contained only uninteresting items. Looting the various slain opponents will give you gold, some scrolls, potions, cloths and weapons. — Unsigned comment by 80.213.193.8 (talk) at 19:23 on 24 August 2007 (GMT)
- Umm, almost everything mentioned in the above text is leveled. Loot and creatures encountered in Oblivion almost always depends on the level of your character, in addition to just random chance, so writing long descriptions of what you found is pretty pointless, as it will not be the same for other people. --TheRealLurlock Talk 23:13, 24 August 2007 (EDT)
Couple of things worth mentioning?!Edit
The Daedra in this cave respawn and Elante of Alinor stays at the shrine even after the related quest. Though she always stands next to the door leading to the next section(where enemies don't normally detect her), there is a chance that exploring this cave after the quest may get her killed. Also, this cave is a good place to find Dremora outside Oblivion, three of them actually. --Sundaroct131088 03:57, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
RegionEdit
According to this page, Brittlerock Cave is located in the Colovian Highlands, but when you take a look at the map, you'll see that the cave is situated in the Gold Coast. Sorry to bother you, but I was just wondering in what region it lies. I already asked the same question at Fort Naso, but I was at school then and for some reason I couldn't log in Wolok gro-Barok 13:17, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
