Oblivion talk:A Ring of Keys

am i missing somethingEdit

I've been back and forth over this whole area and cannot seem to find the "Forgotten Chest". i have found the others and can almost walk directly to them. i've used the advice mention (follow the wall of the map west but cannot find the chest behind the big rock. i've tried going directly NW from the serpents trail door way and checking behind every rock i come to but still cannot find it.

Any more ideas?

[edit]its wasn't north-west, for me it was south-west — Unsigned comment by Madbandit (talkcontribs) at 00:10 on 22 May 2006

Have you looked at the pictures at the bottom of this talk page? They might help if you're just missing it. If it's really not there, it's probably a bug.

Map IncorrectEdit

The Chest Nr. 3 was not where the Map showed it. It is the first Wall with a Platform, near the two Statues. — Unsigned comment by 85.177.169.50 (talk) at 05:18 on 20 October 2006

Chest at location #3Edit

I edited the map to correctly show location #3, but I've never before modified a Wiki, so please forgive me if I have messed anything up. (and please correct it).

Image MissingEdit

The map image doesn't show up. — Unsigned comment by 195.93.21.42 (talk) at 17:36 on 16 May 2007

I'm not having any problems seeing the map. Just in case, I just forced all versions of the image to refresh, so I really don't think there are any problems with the image itself at this point. I'm guessing the problem is more likely to be at your end. Try doing a hard refresh (ctrl+F5 typically) to make sure you're getting the current version of the page. Or try looking at the image directly at Image:OB-map-Pale Pass.jpg. --NepheleTalk 14:12, 16 May 2007 (EDT)

Chest #4Edit

Chest 4 was also incorrectly placed, I fixed the image to show where the chest is now. --Cdevine 02:04, 7 June 2007 (EDT)

New mapEdit

Any chance someone would be interested in creating a new map for this quest that shows the correct locations of all the chests, based upon their locations in the construction set? --NepheleTalk 12:34, 3 December 2007 (EST)

Once I figured out where the entrance to pale pass was on the map, I had no problem. If someone could update the map with the entrance clearly marked that would be a huge help. For those of you in the same boat I was in. See the yellow wall that somebody has put on the southern part of the map. The entrance to pale pass is a tiny bit northwest of the second last segment if you follow it from left to right. — Unsigned comment by 70.24.4.231 (talk) at 17:46 on 5 June 2010
I am having difficulty locating the fourth chest. If the entrance were marked on the map, that would help so much! — Unsigned comment by 69.87.226.195 (talk) at 19:29 on June 25, 2011

Wrong Article Name.Edit

The article is named incorrectly. The official Bethesda name for this is A Ring Of Keys. 121.221.82.105 09:25, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

G.S.Edit

The note is signed by "G.S." Anyone know who its supposed to be?— Unsigned comment by 74.128.56.194 (talk) at 18:53 on 18 June 2011 (UTC)

If we knew who wrote the note, it would be in the article, so we don't know. --Manic 19:35, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Pics for further guidanceEdit

I took screenshots while doing the quest to help out a little more; I thought someone else might want them, but I also thought people would think it them a waste of server space. Should I edit the main page to include them? — Unsigned comment by 74.143.95.18 (talk) at 20:14 on 14 January 2014

Edit: They are here for now (negating the server space issue), and sorry I didn't sign earlier. Also, first post with a profile, so any pointers will be appreciated.

(edit conflict) We already have a map displaying all chests, and I'm not sure about the other images - containing UI elements and stuff. -- SarthesArai Talk 20:57, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
I did notice that map, but if it has significant detail while zooming, I missed it. How can I remove UI elements for a screenshot?--Jnutter819 (talk) 22:55, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
Ah. I see it does.--Jnutter819 (talk) 23:02, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
Your comments are hard to understand, do you still wish to change the images or leave them be, in which case you can ask for your images to be deleted. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:23, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
Sorry, I guess they can be deleted if necessary, but I was wondering if someone would tell me how I could go back into the game and take a hudless screenshot to replace them.--Jnutter819 (talk) 02:29, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
Help:Images is pretty extensive, and I'll take that as an author request and mark the images for deletion. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:33, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
Ok thank you, I will be sure to check that out (and probably get back into Oblivion to retake those). --Jnutter819 02:39, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
Ok, so got a bit sidetracked, but here are the hudless, grassless versions:

Are they acceptable?--Jnutter819hi 07:31, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
