West Weald Camp

West Weald Camp is an unmarked campsite between Bravil and Skingrad.

It is south of Fort Roebeck and the Ayleid ruin of Nenyond Twyll. The site consists of two tents with bedrolls, an unlit campfire with an empty cooking pot, and two non-respawning bowls. Although the camp is totally abandoned, the area is rich in flora. The tents and campfire are overgrown with colorful heather, while a few feet to the south grow three motherwort plants, and three well-hidden nightshade plants are scattered on the northern side of the unusually large rock next to the camp. Farther to the south grow three viper's bugloss plants, and the bushes to the southwest hide three lady's smock plants.

The destroyed camp

During the main quest, an Oblivion Gate may open at the site. If it does, the entire camp is destroyed, including the giant rock, the two tents and bedrolls, and much of the flora in the area. Surprisingly, the gate will also cause two initially hidden non-respawning sacks containing clutter to reveal themselves; one is in front of the gate, and the other is next to a destroyed tent. Although living inhabitants will never be found in the camp, two burnt bodies lie on the ground beside the sacks. Three bloodgrass plants will appear at the site as well, along with the usual respawning daedra emerging from the gate. Most of the original harvestable plants will survive the destruction, except one of the nightshade plants. After the gate is closed, the camp will still be destroyed, and the area will remain on fire indefinitely, but the two sacks and the burnt bodies will still be present, and the bloodgrasses will also remain.

Occupants

  • Oblivion Gate Daedra (if Oblivion Gate appears; respawning until gate is closed)

Contents

  • 2 Sacks (clutter; non-respawning) (if Oblivion Gate appears)
  • 2 bedrolls (destroyed by Oblivion Gate)

Flora

NotesEdit

  • If an Oblivion Gate does spawn here, it provides a   map marker for this otherwise unmarked location.
  • There are actually five nightshade plants present in the camp, but two of them are hidden inside a rock. When the Oblivion Gate opens, the resulting rubble blocks a third, so only two remain accessible.
