Quest?Edit

isn't there a caldera quest that she is involved in? i know people in town will say she's not reputable.--Hortator 19:32, 14 April 2008 (EDT)

Just the escort quest for Boots of Blinding Speed, as mentioned on her page -BenouldTC 19:45, 14 April 2008 (EDT)

Class?Edit

I've been watching the series of edits concerning Pemenie's class, and all I can say is: Yees, she is a merchant; she sells goods. Legoless wrote it not as a class but as a way to note her occupation; in other words, she is a Rogue, but she is also a merchant. But perhaps I'm wrong.--Kalis AgeaYes? No. Pemenie has no AI to sell goods. Therefore she is not a Merchant. --Brf 01:43, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Alright; thanks for clearing that up! I would have checked the CS, but I have not re-installed it yet.--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 01:46, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
In the dialog, the other NPCs call her a trader, so it was probably best the way it was originally, although her "class" is not trader. --Brf 01:51, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Since both "Trader" and "Merchant" are classes, I'm not entirely sure what to do. Legoless 01:59, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
The dialog calls her a "trader". --Brf 02:00, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
And the Construction Set calls her a Rogue, capital R and no quotes. Which is the more authoritative source? An annotation about her being a (shady) trader is in order, but the vast majority of pages list an NPC's class as defiined by the CS. — Unsigned comment by 174.252.176.219 (talk) at 21:26 on 30 May 2011

() I agree with the IP above me; since the CS lists her as a Rogue, that's the descriptor we should use in her introduction. That said, a comment in the main body of her page reguarding the trader comment may not go amiss. Dlarsh(T,C) 00:38, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Her class is Rogue. There is not a dispute over that. The question is whether the introduction should call her a "trader", with lower-class "t". The dialogue calls her a "trader", so it is proper in this situation. --Brf 01:39, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
I never meant to imply that there was a dispute over her class, I just feel that because she is a rogue, that should be what's in her introduction. Most (though admitedly not all) NPC pages list the character's actual class in their introduction, and those that have a specific role usually have a qualifier that follows. Further more, if we're going solely on dialog, there is an argument to be made for using merchant instead (When asked about "making a deal:" Look, I'm just a poor merchant just trying to make my way to Gnaar Mok with some trade goods...) as well as actually using rogue since she does have the standard "my trade" dialog option as well. To top it all off, a number of dialog options with other NPCs and the quest itself throw some doubt on whether trader was an apt description (grifter sounds appropriate). Because there is some doubt about what would be appropriate, I'm of the opinion that it would be best to simply use the CS descriptor and add a line mentioning that she fancies herself a trader.
