Death date of Empress Caula VoriaEdit

The Pocket Guide to the Empire 3rd Edition says Empress Caula Voria died 50 years ago, but I think that would mean she died before the Imperial Simulacrum, which contradicts the information already in the article 92.12.55.162 11:19, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Corrected. I have no idea where the other information came from. rpeh •TCE 12:33, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
I've found it - it's from the Black Horse Courier edition "Assassination!". 92.12.55.162 21:44, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Ah, well done. I was searching only inside the Lore namespace. No consistency even within Oblivion material then. Typical. rpeh •TCE 22:10, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Caius CosadesEdit

An anon added Caius Cosades, though I'm not sure if he is lore-worthy. Below is the cleaned-up proposed entry. Also, not sure if I'm treating his purported skooma addiction properly.

==== {{LE|Caius Cosades}} (3E?b -?d) ==== {{Lore Link|Blades}} spy in [[Lore:Morrowind|Morrowind]] during the advent of the {{Lore Link|Nerevarine}}. He assisted the Nerevarine in fulfilling the prophecy, but was eventually recalled to the {{Lore Link|Imperial City}}. He was rumored to have a {{Lore Link|Skooma|skooma}} habit, although this supposed addiction may have been only a ruse as part of his cover identity.

Emperor Cuhlecain, the Emperor Zero (?b - 2E 854)Edit

Is the afore-mentioned Emperor a reference to the fabled Cú Chulainn, sometimes written Cúchulainn, an Irish folk hero? His similar name seems to hint towards such being possible. Therefore, I suggest that Emperor Cuhlecain's name is based off of Cú Chulainn. ~John — Unsigned comment by 67.142.178.22 (talk) at 16:40 on 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Until more evidence can confirm or at least inforce a probability of it being an actual intended reference, this will have to be treated as coincidental.
By the way, if you wish to sign your contributions (as you are expected to do on the talk pages) you should follow the simple instruction for signature stated both on the top of the text edit page and the very bottom of the same. (Above and below the edit box.) If you want a signature with a nick, you have to have a registered account on the wiki and follow the same instructions. —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:47, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
You can bring it up here if you'd like to suggest it as a reference. —Legoless (talk) 20:49, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Cuilean DarnizhaanEdit

This person is mentioned in the perennial lore-book on the Psijic Order, The Old Ways. The name links to this page but there was no entry. The quote attributed to Darnizhaan can also be found in the description of the Schools of Julianos from Daggerfall, there attributed to "the great Psijic". It seems safe to assume this person was a member of the Psijic Order, and that they predate or coincided with Loremaster Celarus. Please adjust my entry if there is evidence to the contrary. 209.6.53.26 20:00, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

A person who said something that was liked by someone, is not a "notable" person. The term is subjective, but this is barely note-worthy, and Cuilean was removed once from this page for being non-lore worthy; so if no new information is available, that still stands. The School of Julianos page could be expanded and include this minor note, but the person is just clutter to this page. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:31, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Ok fair enough. I agree it's a minor thing, but honestly I don't see how it's less notable than many of the other entries here. I also found it confusing that there was a link to this page in The Old Ways even though there was no information. Personally I found this connection between the Psijics and the schools informative from a lore perspective, but as you say it is subjective. Cheers. 209.6.53.26 20:37, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

UOL Source for Time PeriodEdit

Please see the discussion on Lore talk:Stormhold regarding the recent UOL addition. —Legoless (talk) 14:50, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Provisional datesEdit

I've added dates of known activity for characters previously listed as (?b - ?d) as per this discussion. Feel free to suggest/add modifications. A few points worth noting:

  • Caius Cosades, Carolus Aquilarios, Cyril Vinticae: The dates listed are all taken from their individual pages/list entries; however it should be noted that they derive partly from UOL.
  • Callisos: Date should be changed to (fl. before 2E 582) if the Flame of Callisos appears in ESO Bards College (I don't currently have access to Western Skyrim and it's not mentioned on any of the Bards College wiki pages).
  • Catchica: Should have a note that she may be fictional as with other chatacters only known from 2920.
  • Guardian Celonron: We don't have a date for the start of the Green Pact but this range seems most likely.
  • Cherim: This assumes his career of 'nigh on thirty years' indicates he took up tapestry-making after his military service.
  • Chevalier Renald: Shouldn't be on this page at all. 'Renald' is his name, 'Chevalier' is his title.

Other letters will follow as time permits.--Draugluin (talk) 03:57, 16 July 2023 (UTC)

CassimoranEdit

Once again, I dispute this name specifically referring to a person. It could easily refer to a place. For similar instances, see Axe of Whiterun, Shield of Solitude, Shield of Chorrol, and Blade of Haafingar. Mindtrait0r (talk) 14:12, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Yeah, should be removed from here as well for Mindtrait0r's reasoning. One solution that I toyed with while talking with Tarp is to move all of these completely nebulous terms that appeared once with no other information to a page dedicated to that. The page would act merely as a list for them, and would have no inherit suggestion as to what the term was referring to (which would be the case by listing it on a page like this). Perhaps named something like Lore:Miscellaneous Terms. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 14:58, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Edit: The page could be linked from the Names page, or even incorporated into the main page as a subsection of the current "Other" list that is presently there. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 15:00, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
I'm not even sure these Arena invocations meet the basic threshold of notability in lorespace. The lines are already documented on Arena:Races#High Elf, and without any further information I can't see how the term is at all loreworthy. —Legoless (talk) 15:14, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
I contest the idea that it’s not a beyond reasonable assumption to assume this refers to a person but that said, I agree with the premise that other evocations like the Avenger were vague enough to cast reasonable doubt. I like the idea of the exclamations lore page and would be happy to help contribute to it. Dcking20 (talk) 21:52, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
