Lore talk:Krosis

NotabilityEdit

I don't think this article meets notability for Lore:People. Being a Dragon Priest is all well and good, they were certainly noteworthy figures during the time, but Krosis in particular has nothing known of him other than his name. 90% of the article is generic stuff about the time period. I do believe that the lack of information available to us is not grounds to deem character not noteworthy. A lot of notable figures have quite a sparse amount of lore.Tyrvarion (talk) 19:33, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
Dragon Priests were the nobility of Skyrim/Atmora in those ages, equivalent to kings. Nobility alone is grounds for a lore page, scarcity aside. Dcking20 (talk) 20:34, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
I'm gonna have to agree with Mindtraitor on this. Not to say that Krosis isn't important within the universe, but the amount of unique information should take more of a precedent here. All that can be uniquely said is that Krosis exists. We don't need to explain general info about the Dragon Priests here because that's what the Dragon Priest page is for. Having him as a bullet point on the known Dragon Priests section there as he is now does the job just as well as having a dedicated page. Probably even more because it includes more, related info. --Vincentius1 (talk) 21:41, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
Being important within the universe is basically the only box he has to check. There’s nothing that indicates just because we know very little about a lore pertinent individual doesn’t entitle them to their own particular entry, and in fact Krosis has quite a bit of information on his page, and it’s not as if that info is all a bunch of pointless fluff. It’s stuff that applies to himself and other dragon priests, and a little bit on his name meaning and where he’s actually encountered in the events of the game, all relevant info. If a dragon priest isn't lore notable worthy then nothing is lol. High echelon mage, and also high echelon society-wise during that era. If this guy isn't notable, then every single noble has to be removed from these pages too CoolBlast3 (talk) 22:23, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

() As I said, Dragon Priests are indeed notable, but we know nothing about Krosis. What does this page accomplish that Lore:Dragon Priest doesn't already do? Krosis' name is listed, his burial location is listed, the history of Dragon Priests in general is listed - the only thing missing is the material his mask is made of (even that is covered on Lore:Dragon Priest Masks, which the Dragon Priest article links to). If this page's whole function is to list the material of someone's mask, it may as well be tailored to that mask, not the person. Mindtrait0r (talk) 00:02, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

I don't really see the benefit in removing this page, if someone has put in the effort to put it all together with actual references. I'd class all the Dragon Priests as notable people considering they were effectively rulers on the level of Kings that we have lore pages for, even ones with much less information. Return to "Krosis" page.
