Imperial MananautsEdit

The assertion that the Mananauts ended their operations for the same reason as the group that served under the Reman Dynasty is speculation.

The expeditions of the Reman Dynasty and the Sun Birds of Alinor are the most famous attempts in our histories, and it is a cosmic irony that both of them were eventually dissolved for the same reason: the untenable expenditures required to reach magic by magicka. Their only legacy is the Royal Imperial Mananauts of the Elder Council...

Pocket Guide explains that the expeditions of the Reman Dynasty were a thing, but we are not given a name for this group (unlike the Sunbirds). Both groups ended due to the cost of magicka. This is true. However after the Reman Dynasty's expeditions ended, whatever remnants of this group remained later became known as the Imperial Mananauts of the Elder Council. This is what the pocket guide means by their "legacy". This is further confirmed by Schick:

And there may be other holdovers from the glories of the Second Empire, from groups such as the Dragon Guard or the aforementioned Shadow Legion or even the mysterious Imperial Mananauts, maintaining and passing on their traditions through new names and guises. But my guess is they're all keeping their heads down until we see a conclusion to this ruinous and destructive Alliance War.

"Other holdovers", meaning a person or thing surviving from an earlier time. What is being said essentially is the Reman Dynasty group (name unknown) dissolved, and the Mananauts are what was left over. In terms of the Mananauts ending their operations due to magicka cost - we can't say that is the reason because the Pocket guide explicitly refers to the original Reman Dynasty group.

Imperial DragoonsEdit

I think it would be worth including a sentence or two about Imperial Dragoons in the "Dragons" section of the article. They're mentioned in GT's 2001 post about dragons and the Empire. He mentions that they're alluded to in Samar Starlover's log. Does anyone know of other sources that might be worth including, or have other thoughts on it? — Unsigned comment by 47.6.37.2 (talk) at 18:16 on 16 July 2023 (UTC)
