Gergus Malumea

Gergus Malumea is an elderly farmer living with his wife Cindaia in Applewatch, where he manages the brewing of the famous Applewatch cider.

Gergus is widely regarded as the pillar of the community, as his daughter-in-law Pelena notes: "Gergus is a good man and a strong leader. Without him this settlement would have gone to the timber wolves by now." When you first meet him however, he is distraught: "Gah, where did Red Diamond run off to?" Asking him about it will start the Horse, Meet Troll quest, where you will investigate the disappearance of his horse. He will also ask for you help in slaying a dangerous wolf that has made its lair nearby and in fulfilling a cider order for the Jerall View Inn.

After waking up at 7am, Gergus has breakfast with his wife and at 9am heads out to the stables. He spends the next five hours feeding the chickens, and from 2pm to 6pm he will be found wandering around the village. At 6pm he heads back home for dinner and then spends the rest of the evening indoors, eventually going to bed at midnight. On Sundas, he enjoys a four-hour dinner with his wife and his son Aebond's family.

Gergus wears Colovian common clothes and farmer's boots, and carries the key to the house and a random selection of gold, lockpicks, gems, jewelry, food and drink.

DialogueEdit

When greeting you he will say:

"Welcome to Applewatch. Make yourself at home."
"We're a small place with small offerings. Nothing here for troublemakers."
"This cider doesn't make itself!"
"We work hard, and we prosper."

If you ask about the village, he explains:

"Applewatch? Just a humble apple orchard, and a humble family turning those apples into cider for the people of Cyrodiil. Nothing glamorous."

If you ask about work, he says:

"Work, eh? Well, we've got nothing fancy. No exciting adventures or mighty beasts to slay. But we can always use a bit of help gathering apples for our cider. Tell you what. I'll pay you for any apples you bring me from the orchard. But we can always use a bit of help gathering apples for our cider. Tell you what. I'll pay you for any apples you bring me from the orchard."

He will then pay you 3 gold for each red apple you bring him but he will take all apples you have.
