| setting | optional | The location(s) the book is set in. |
| period | optional | The time period the book is set in. |
| author | optional | The author of the book. This value is saved for templates like {{Book Link}}. |
| authorlink | optional | The author of the book as a link, if a plain-text and linked versions are desired. The table will display authorlink and fall back to author if not provided. |
| illustrators | optional | The illustrators of the book. |
| publisher | optional | The publisher of the book. |
| isbn | optional | The book's International Standard Book Number |
| previous | optional | The previous book in the series. This will automatically be linked to [[Books:previous|previous]]. |
| next | optional | The next book in the series. This will automatically be linked to [[Books:next|next]]. |
| game | optional | The game name and any DLCs covered by the book. |
| description | optional | A short description of the book. This value is not displayed, and is strictly for templates like Book Link. |
| nosave | optional | If a value is specified, the author and description values will not be saved. |
