Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Gindaman and the Mages Guild have grown increasingly annoyed by interference in Guild affairs. Your recent acquisition of the Ring of Ineptitude has provided the perfect opportunity for revenge.

Gindaman returns the ring to you and tells you to use it on Arrell, a female Bosmer and known member of the Thieves Guild who has been seen skulking around the Mages Guild quite often in recent times. The ring's effect of damaging a target's Luck and Agility should end her career as a thief.

Arrell lives on the northwest site of Firewatch's residential district. Take the ring and use it on her then leave the house before she can attack. Return to Gindaman.

He is hopeful that this show of force by the guild will end the interference and lets you keep the ring as a reward.

10 Gindaman asked me to deal with the Thieves Guild's interference in Mages Guild affairs. I should go to the house of Arrell, a female Bosmer, a member of the Thieves Guild who has been seen skulking around the Mages Guild quite often in recent times. He gave me back the Ring of Ineptitude I had given Banviris, and he told me to use it on Arrell. This would send a sign that the Mages Guild will not tolerate such acts against us, and mean that Arrell's thieving career is ended.
20 I used the Ring of Ineptitude on Arrell.
30 Finishes quest  Gindaman thanked me, and said he thought that the Thieves Guild would probably stop interfering in Mages Guild business from now on.
