Dragon PartsEdit

Are there any other uses/needs for Dragon Bones/Scales, (story, etc) or are they just taking up space until you can smith them? --Debatra 22:58, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

I couldn't find any other obvious uses while searching the game data -- although I'm only able to automatically identify certain types of quest uses, so it's still possible that there are some quests. In any case, the intent is that this page should summarize all ways in which any of these items are used, so if anyone does come across other uses, they should add them.--NepheleTalk 01:40, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
Reportedly you can sell them to Esbern after killing Paarthurnax and there is a use for them in the quest Dragon Research - but I haven't played those parts, so I can't really confirm. --Alfwyn 01:55, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Shellbug ChitinEdit

Should it be mentioned that it can't actually be found on a dead Chaurus, It is fact mined? Lizard Man 08:54, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Good point, I'll add that note. ABCface 11:29, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Kothyr's HeadEdit

Not sure what this was supposed to be for, but seeing as how the graphics indicate that it is not a head at all, but some sort of iron cauldron, perhaps it doesn't belong on this page? Or maybe it was supposed to be a head in a cauldron, or - who knows? Since it's not found in the game, we can only speculate. Should we just have one page for all not-found-in-game items in the CK? TheRealLurlock (talk) 11:22, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

We already have pages for Test Cells and Unused NPCs so a separate page for items which aren't found in the game wouldn't be a bad idea. There's also an 'Unobtainable Items' section at the bottom of the Miscellaneous Items page at the moment, and I'm aware of several other items scattered about various item pages which aren't available in normal gameplay. A separate page for these types of items is a good idea. — ABCface 13:13, 3 September 2012 (EDT)
Yes, I think we should make a page for items the cannot be obtained or seen in the game without console use. There are quite a lot scattered throughout the articles. A second category would be something like "NPC gear", items that NPCs use and can be seen ingame, but cannot be obtained (either the NPC is essential or the item is invisible in the inventory/corpse). I think currently the item pages are too big anyway and separating those things the player can't use would be a good thing. I might start a sandbox collecting data. --Alfwyn (talk) 15:57, 11 October 2012 (GMT)

Death Hound CollarEdit

Is this just vendor trash? It has a 25:1 value ratio so it's not a bad item to loot, but is there any need for them? — Unsigned comment by 73.27.2.20 (talk) at 23:54 on 10 December 2014

As far as I know, they have no use beyond collecting and selling. —<({QT>> 12:00, 11 December 2014 (GMT)
