Yorgrim Hall is a Dwemer-themed home located in the mountains near Windhelm. Craft your own furnishings, hire staff, and enjoy full support for spouses and adoption.—Official Summary |
Official DescriptionEdit
Yorgrim Hall is a Dwemer-themed home located in the mountains near Windhelm. Craft your own furnishings, hire staff, and enjoy full support for spouses and adoption.
Obtaining Yorgrim Hall can be done by locating the key (spoilers down below) and visiting the home. However, to make your new home feel more like a real home, you will need to construct or repair all of the furnishings inside. Asking your spouse and/or child to move into the home requires you to have constructed bedding for your family first.
Yorgrim Hall itself should be easy to locate as its map marker starts out visible but undiscovered.
Hire a StewardEdit
The option exists to hire on a steward, just like the Hearthfire DLC. You may ask your steward to furnish rooms for you for a price.
To hire a steward, bring an eligible follower to Yorgrim Hall and ask them to be your steward.
Hireable Bard and Carriage DriverEdit
Once you have a steward at your home, ask them about making improvements to the house. You will have options to hire a bard and carriage driver [sic]
You can ask the bard to play instrumental music, change instruments, or sing a particular song, just as you would a normal Hearthfire bard.
Travel DestinationEdit
By making use of the dynamic carriage system in resource pack [sic], carriage drivers around Skyrim can be asked to take you to Yorgrim Hall once you purchase the home.
Purchasing the homeEdit
Finding a note on the front gate of the lift will lead you to a new NPC named Mercard (voiced by Alex Cain https://www.castingcall.club/complete-the-circuit)
Once you locate Mercard and have a short conversation, you will have the option to purchase the home.

Technical compatibility Note for mod authorsEdit
To make the game's spouse/adoption system work, this home makes use of one of the several empty and unused slots that were original [sic] added for creation club [sic] support. (Slot 17 specifically)
At the time of this writing there are no other house mods or creations that make use of that home slot, so it should be compatible with pretty much everything.
