The Character Board is a vital component of Skyrim - The Adventure Game. It helps you track your Attributes, Skills, inventory, Quests, and Statuses.
On the very left of the Board is where you will slot your Character card. This is where you can reference your Race's skills and abilities.
There are three spaces on the left of the Character Board that will get filled with tokens throughout the game. The purple space is for Experience tokens, used primarily for leveling up. Below that is a golden space for your Gold. To the right of both is a large space for all three Components: Ore Components, Plant Components, and Soul Gem Components. These can be very useful throughout many aspects of the game, such as crafting Equipment, Pushing Skill Tests, and completing Quest objectives.
The Character Board includes 4 Backpack slots; each slot can hold one item. If at any point during the game you gain an additional item that you cannot equip nor place in your Backpack, you can either discard the new item or discard any other item to make room for the new one. Spell Item cards do not take Backpack space.
There are two Status Slots on the bottom right corner of the Character board. It's advisable to place the Status cards that are most used there, although there is no limit to the number of Status cards you can have at the same time.
The Trinkets and Potions slots on the top right corner of the Character Board can hold up to four items at the same time (any combination of Trinkets and Potions).
SetupEdit
Each player takes a Character card and the miniature that corresponds to the card. This can be done randomly, by shuffling the Character deck and drawing a card, or by choosing your character and therefore your playing style. Take a Fists, Ragged Robes, and a Potion of Minor Healing card. If you have chosen to play as a Khajiit, take the Claws card instead of the Fists card. Both Fists and Claws count as two-handed weapons. If you don't have a weapon at any point of the game, you will default to using Fists (or Claws in the case of a Khajiit). Similarly, if you lose your armor, you will default to Ragged Robes.
Place the Ragged Robes and Potion of Minor Healing cards on the Armor and Trinket slots of the Character Board, respectively. Place the Fists (or Claws) card between the two Hand slots. This means that the equipped weapon uses both hands, making it impossible to use it in combination with any other weapon, spell, or shield.
Take 2 Plant Components, 1 Health cube, 1 Magicka cube, 1 Stamina cube, 1 Final Blow token, 1 Health Track Limit token, 1 Magicka Track Limit token, and 1 Stamina Track Limit token. Place the Final Blow token on the first slot of the Health track. Place the remaining Track Limit tokens on the sixth slot of their respective tracks, with the arrow pointing to the right. Place the Health, Magicka, and Stamina cubes in the fifth slot of their respective tracks.
