Sapillius Tarvetius is an Imperial Knight and the commanding officer at Fort Heath on the border between the Kingdom of Anvil and the Kingdom of Kvatch. He describes his history in somewhat bitter terms:
"I grew up on the waterfront in Bravil. I joined the Legion young, and within a few years the Simulacrum began. I managed to prevent a major rebellion at the border with Elsweyr, but all I got as a reward was getting stuck here at Fort Heath."
He is ably assisted by his subordinate, Euratta Oskra, and the two appear to approve of each other very much, with Eukratta enjoying how Sapillius acts as the public face of the fort, and Sapillius being satisfied with Eukratta overseeing its day-to-day operations.
Sapillius features in two quests. In one, A Woman Named Petri, he refers you to the fort's previous commander, Sorius Lavin, in the hope that he might remember Petri's service in the Imperial Legion. He can also be one of the individuals you speak to during Prevent the Coup, in which he doesn't - claiming the conspiracy to be in something of a grey area into which the Legion could not excusably intervene.
