A wounded scholar's notes
They left me here. Getting burned in the trap slowed me down. I knew they would leave me if they thought we were discovered. I gave them my earlier notes to study, pretending to believe them when they swore they would come back.
Couldn't even leave me a healing potion or something to numb the pain. My only satisfaction is that I think I may have discovered the key finally. My earlier attempts at translation were off the mark. The emphasis on certain words, sitting here staring at this wall, it fell into place.
The order of the Daedric letters. That's the key. Now if I could only still walk, I'd be able to open that gate in an instant.
