DialogueEdit
You'll find Ulgonash detained under the suspicion of being a criminal. Speaking to him to hear him out that this is a mistake:
- "Can you help me? There's been a terrible mistake. I'm with the Daggerfall Covenant diplomatic mission, but this guard doesn't believe me.
I'm not what he thinks I am!" - I'm here with Rigurt the Brash. Can you tell me what happened?
- "Rigurt! He got me into this mess. Last night after dinner we were talking about favorite places in Wrothgar. He disappeared into the back and returned with a bag.
He said something about getting a dessert for me." - What happened next?
- "I left. On my way home this guard stopped me. I told him what I thought about that, so he frisked me. It turns out the bag was filled with skooma! I didn't know, I swear!
Can you talk to Sergeant Dupertuis? I've got diplomatic immunity!"
Before you speak to Sergeant Dupertuis:
- "Please talk to Sergeant Dupertuis. We've got to straighten this out. I represent the Daggerfall Covenant here! How in the world can I explain this to High King Emeric?"
After you speak to the sergeant:
- "You heard Sergeant Dupertuis. Find this skooma dealer and trail him to wherever he keeps his illicit goods. He'll free me if you can help him bring in a real criminal.
Please! You've got to help me!"
Once you come back with the skooma and before you speak to the sergeant:
- "Please tell me you found out where Berjac Catillon hides his illicit goods? And that you brought back proof for Sergeant Dupertuis? I can't feel my fingers anymore!"
Ulgonash is freed of his binds and be happy that his name is cleared up:
- "That's better! I can't thank you enough. Without your help, I'd still be under arrest.
Now, what's all this about Rigurt and his missing scepter?" - The innkeeper won't give the scepter back to Rigurt until someone pays last night's tab.
- "No one paid the innkeeper? I don't understand. We ate and drank quite a lot last night, but Rigurt said he'd taken care of it. I would never skip out on a bill!
We have to make this right. What do you need me to do?" - Are you willing to pay your share of the bill to the innkeeper?
- "Gladly. I'll head back to my rooms and clean myself up. As soon as I can feel my fingers again, I'll meet back at the inn with the coin for my share.
It's the least I can do."
Speaking to him again:
- "What an embarrassing episode. Let me catch my breath and I'll get the money to pay the innkeeper. It's the least I can do to repay you."
If you helped him out last, he will alternatively say:
- "Give me a moment, and I'll get money from my rooms to pay the innkeeper. It's the least I can do to repay you."
After you helped Ulgonash and Tanillin, they will be back at the inn with Rigurt repaying back their tabs. Speaking to him before Marisette:
- "You should talk to Marisette Lemaitre and make sure we can put this whole event behind us.
I can't believe I got arrested."
When Marisette hands over the scepter and before you speak to Rigurt to complete the quest, you can speak to him:
- "I have one more favor to ask, friend. Could we try to keep this whole business just between us?
I'm kind of new at this, you see. I was just appointed to the Covenant's delegation, and I'm worried they'll send me home if I foul it up." - Didn't you even look in the bag Rigurt gave you?
- "I didn't even want dessert! We've been eating and drinking all night. But since we'd been talking about cakes earlier in the evening, Rigurt must have thought I had a sweet tooth.
I was even more surprised than the guard when he found the skooma." - Why did the guard stop you?
- "It wasn't my finest hour. I…may have relieved myself against a building along the way. And when the guard spoke sharply to me about that, I argued back at him.
You know the rest of the tale."
Once you got Rigurt' scepter and before you turn in the quest to Rigurt, you can speak to Ulgonash again:
- "You've got Rigurt's scepter of office? Please give it to him. Before he thinks of some other way to show his appreciation for the cultures of other lands."
After the quest is completed:
- Rigurt the Brash: "Another diplomatic success! Thank you, friends, for an unforgettable night."
- Tanillin: "It was certainly a, well, unique experience."
- Ulgonash: "Agreed. It was unique. Let's all agree to never speak of it again."
Speaking to him after the quest:
- "Thank you for helping Rigurt to sort out this mess he made. The sooner we can all forget about last night's misadventures, the better.
I really don't want any of my colleagues to find out I got arrested."
