Quick WalkthroughEdit
- Speak to Brengolin to accept your next task.
- Speak to Maurice Ouren.
- Gather the ingredients and bring them to Maurice.
- Get the liqueur from Maurice and give it to Brengolin.
Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Brengolin, the chef of Slag Town Outlaws Refuge, needs a supply of the ingredients for his speciality drink, and sends you off to find them. Unknown to him, it comes from a mix of two ingredients that aren't easy to get: when meeting his supplier Maurice Ouren, in the main plaza of Clockwork City, Maurice tells you the truth, that it's basically a homebrew hooch that he couldn't sell anywhere else.
Although one of the ingredients is the real stuff, unfortunately it comes from outside Clockwork City: Ouren doesn't know how you'll manage to get your hands on a bottle of Port Hunding Reserve from Stros M'kai, since he knows of no way to leave the city. You, fortunately, are under no such limitation: thanks to the magic of wayshrines you may come and go as you please, so it's actually a relatively simple matter to head to the inn in Port Hunding, and steal a bottle from a crate on the upper floor (this counts as stealing, so avoid being noticed to avoid getting a bounty.)
The other ingredient is Wellspring Hooch, which can be found in the Catalog of Rote Duplication in the Brass Fortress, on the upper floor of the Clockwork Basilica (despite its name, you do not have to go to the Everwound Wellspring to get it.) You will be trespassing while you are up there, and will incur a bounty if seen by anyone at all: worse still, some of the guards have anti-stealth circles and are hard to avoid. The hooch is in the southeast corner, not far from the lift.
After this, return to Maurice who has relocated to the Outlaws Refuge. He will mix the ingredients, adding a bit of boiler coolant (ew!) to give it some bite, and present you with the resulting bottle of "Genuine" Elden Root Liqueur to hand back to Brengolin, for your reward which includes the recipe for "Spring-Loaded Infusion".
BugsEdit
- The interact prompt to loot the Wellspring Hooch can be difficult to use as the bottle sits on top of a lootable crate, as well as another located behind the bottle, causing prompt overlap. ?

Maurice Ouren confessed that he counterfeited the Root Liqueur. He will need Wellspring Hooch from the Catalog of Rote Duplication and Port Hunding Reserve from Port Hunding in Stros M'kai to recreate the concoction.
Objective: Steal Port Hunding Reserve in Stros M'kai
Objective: Steal Wellspring Hooch

I have the Wellspring Hooch and Port Hunding Reserve that Maurice Ouren needs to brew his counterfeit Root Liqueur. I should return to him in Slag Town.
Objective: Return to Maurice in Clockwork City

I gave Maurice the Wellspring Hooch and Port Hunding Reserve. Now he's working on creating another batch of his counterfeit Root Liqueur. Once it's ready, Maurice will provide it to me.
Objective: Get the Counterfeit Liqueur from Maurice
Objective Hint: Wait for Maurice to Finish His Brewing

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
