There are four types of materials involved in Woodworking: Wood, Sanded Wood, Resins, and Gems.
Wood is the raw materials that can be found in the world in fallen logs. By themselves they cannot be used, but they may be refined into Sanded Wood at any woodworking station.
Sanded Wood is used to make shields as well as all bows and staves.
Resins can be used to improve existing shields or weapons.
Gems are used to craft weapons or armor with traits.
