The Elder Scrolls Online v5.0.4 is the final PTS patch before we launch Elsweyr and Update 22 on PC/Mac next week. We have continued to make adjustments to Dragons and Sunspire Trial, and have a few additional fixes for combat abilities. Note we’ve performed another character copy for this patch, this time for PC/Mac North American characters, to further test some fixes before we launch next week. This final patch is approximately 1.95GB in size. Thank you for all the testing and feedback; it’s been an invaluable resource!

Elsweyr Fixes & ImprovementsEdit

Art & AnimationEdit

Animation

  • Fixed some distorted wing animations, and polished other animations on the Dragon Imp pet.
  • Adjusted the posture animations for the NPC, Hadamnargo.

AudioEdit

General

  • Fixed several audio issues involving the Terrorbird and Wind Duneripper.

Combat & GameplayEdit

Necromancer

  • Grave Lord
    • Blastbones: Fixed an issue where the skeleton summoned from this ability and its morphs could proc item set conditionals, such as Vicious Serpent, when it died from exiting combat.
    • Reusable Parts: Fixed an issue where this passive was causing your Necromancer summons to briefly interrupt your ability casts when they died.
  • Bone Tyrant
    • Bitter Harvest:
      • Deaden Pain (morph): Fixed an issue where the Major Protection granted from this ability would end too quickly.
    • Death Scythe: The scythe’s model from this ability and its morphs no longer has extraneous handles.

Dragons

  • Fixed an issue if you were just beyond the range of other players fighting a Dragon, it's health would become desynced.
  • Fixed an issue where Dragons did not animate when speaking at great distances.
  • Dragons now respawn faster after their defeat.
  • Fixed an issue where some Dragon attacks could not be seen at a distance.
  • Fixed an issue where Flame Wyrms failed to spawn in some locations.
  • Fixed an issue where Dragons could fail to animate important attacks for players joining an encounter in progress.

Dragon Abilities

  • Fixed an issue where Unrelenting Force appeared to be aimed into the ground.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dragon could become unavailable for combat on the ground after a strafing run.
  • Fixed an issue where Unrelenting Force was not visible in the Death Recap.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dragon's fiery aura would not be displayed while it was active.

Monsters

  • You will now see the attack animations when hit by the Pahmar Ravager's Slash ability.

Dungeons & Group ContentEdit

Sunspire Trial

  • General
    • Sunspire Archers will no longer use NPC Necromantic Synergies.
    • Renamed Jone's Gale-Claw to Jode's Fire-Fang.
    • Made several changes to abilities on all three Dragons:
      • Bite, snap, and breath attacks now have wider arcs in which they can be cast.
      • Breath attacks can no longer be avoided by standing closer to the Dragon.
      • Breath attacks are now slightly wider and larger.
      • Breath attacks that have a range will no longer target enemies out of range.
    • Fixed an issue where Dragon breath attacks would not track their targets correctly.
  • Yolnahkriin
    • Yolnahkriin’s Flame Atronachs now correctly do damage with their Flare ability.
    • Yolnahkriin's Flame Atronachs no longer display a blue explosion when they die and are not blue-shifted.
    • Yolnahkriin’s Flame Atronachs will no longer use blue fire effects when they shouldn’t.
    • The Flame Atronach’s Lava Geyser ability will no longer deal damage if the caster dies before the effect completes.
  • Lokkestiiz
    • Lokkestiiz’s Storm Breath will now always display the correct animation.
    • Lokkestiiz's Frost Breath is no longer interrupted by Storm Atronachs spawning in.
    • Lokkestiiz's Frost Atronachs will now correctly take damage from multiple shock traps if they trigger at the same time.
  • Nahviintaas
    • Nahviintaas' Vigil Statues will now remain in combat even if the only living players are in the Time Breach.
    • Nahviintaas' Battle Fury is now more powerful in Hard Mode.
    • Nahviintaas’ Eternal Servant will now always reset when the fight does.

Exploration & ItemizationEdit

General

  • Hanging Khajiit light helmets in the world can now be taken, like other armors found in the world.
  • The following items will now have the proper required Achievement listed in the Achievement Furnisher’s store:
    • Khajiit Wagon, Ruined
    • Khajiit Wagon, Merchant
    • Column, Fatal Warning

HousingEdit

Furnishings

  • Updated the visual effects for the Replica Rithana-di-Renada to prevent them from poking out of the back.

Homes

  • Increased the variety and frequency of dragon appearances in the skies of Jode’s Embrace. They’re still pretty rare, though!
  • Improved the audio balance in the Plane of Jode portion of Jode's Embrace.
  • Improved the reliability of visual effects in Jode’s Embrace.
  • Sealed several small gaps in the doorframes of Jode’s Embrace.

Quests & ZonesEdit

General

  • Adjusted the balance of some quest bosses (Euraxia, Zumog Phoom, and [Spoilery Boss Name]) to reduce their lethality for lower level players.

Delves

  • Predator Mesa: Fixed an issue where some quest monsters could get stuck in the world.

Daily Quests

  • Wisdom in the Winds: Fixed an issue where some of the ancient scroll cases were not within the boundaries of the quest assist pin.

Ashen Scar

  • Fixed an issue where you wouldn’t hear a line from Mazza Mirri after completing her test.
  • Fixed an issue where it was unclear whether or not you actually needed to follow Mazza Mirri.

Merryvale Farms

  • Razum-dar will now properly respawn while following you if your character dies.

Museum

  • Fixed an issue where Rajhin’s Shadows were disappearing before their lines were complete.

Riverhold

  • Fixed a rare issue where a grouped player might not be able to speak to Mizzik if both players looted the second camp item.

The Stitches

  • Fixed an issue where Tasnasi turned invisible if your character died and revived at a Wayshrine during the boss fight.

Main Story

  • A Rage of Dragons:
    • Cadwell will no longer use an invisible shovel. While this is not necessarily out of character for him, even Cadwell must bow to Tamriel’s very vague suggestion of the laws of physics.
    • Fixed an issue where a prompt to talk to Mulaamir would appear, but you were unable to use it due to an out of range error.
  • The Battle for Riverhold:
    • Fixed an issue where Zamarak wouldn’t respawn if you played hopscotch over a zone boundary while trying to rescue farmers.
    • Abnur Tharn will now be available at the end of this quest.
    • Bahlokdaan will no longer do a shimmy dance on the rooftop when you shoot him with the ballista.
  • [Spoilery Quest Name Here]
    • Fixed an issue that would cause Zumog Phoom to not taunt you during specific portions of his fight.
    • Fixed an issue that would cause Skullguard Marama to not properly trigger Cadwell's stolen energy.

NightbladeEdit
  • Assassination
    • Incapacitating Strike: The Silence from this ability can now be CC broken, and cannot be activated on targets who are already affected by a CC effect.
      • Note that this change is exclusive to Incapacitating Strike, and will not apply to other Silences, such as Negate Magic, since those are area effect-based pulsing durations, versus instantaneous duration-based effects.
      • Developer Comment: As mentioned in the 5.0.3 patch notes, the goal with the change to Incapacitating Strike’s conditional bonus was to tone down some of the shut-down mechanic to it, since Silences are essentially stuns that allow the target to continue moving, blocking, and dodging. We are aware of the nature that Silences have in terms of effectiveness on varying builds, which is why we found the ability to CC break this effect would be an ideal compromise; it still has the counter play options of a traditional stun, but no longer needs to always be broken.
TemplarEdit
  • Restoring Light
    • Repentance: This morph will now grey out and become unable to cast if there are no corpses around you.
Alliance WarEdit
  • Support
    • Guard: Fixed an issue where allies who were affected by the guard beam could die if the caster of this ability died.

    • You can no longer interact with Yokeda Rok'dun's gate, thus preventing him from spawning.

Exploration & ItemizationEdit

General

  • Fixed an issue causing poisons of Minor Heroism to claim they grant you Minor Sorcery, despite actually restoring Ultimate every second.
  • Adjusted the tooltips on many Motif chapters and books, to convey that they also teach the commensurate Outfit Styles as well.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the your level to not be considered when looting alchemy water resource nodes, leading to the alchemy water scaling only based on your Solvent Proficiency passive.
  • Corrected numerous issues with effect interactions on the Target Iron Atronach. Previously, it was possible for the permanent versions of effects to be double-stacked or scrubbed off by certain player abilities in unintended ways. Additionally, it was also calculating values for Fracture and Breach incorrectly.

HousingEdit

  • Fixed an issue where Pets, Mounts, Assistants, and Target Dummies would pause in an unusual pose when being placed.

UIEdit

General

  • Fixed issue where Mounts couldn't be previewed from the Daily Rewards screen.
  • Removed the watermark from everyone’s screens.
    • Note: This does not mean the NDA has been lifted; we still want to avoid spoiling the story! This will just aid in anyone wishing to create content ahead of launch.

Guild Finder

  • Fixed an issue where changing the Core Hours for your Guild Listing could also change the toggles on Additional Activities.
  • Icon markup can no longer be used in the Recruitment Headline due to issues where it could cover other guild listings. All markup can still be used in the Description.
