The Moon Beast is a dread dark spirit summoned by Ravith-morna and her Chorus to hunt Khajiit souls on the paths to Azura's Crossing. You will encounter this creature in the Great Darkness as you race to stop Ravith-morna's plans.
During your fight with Ravith-morna, she will summon Aspects of the Moon Beast which resemble it in miniature.

Quest-Related EventsEdit
When you, Cantor Krin'ze and Zerith-var arrive in the Great Darkess, you will hear the Moon Beast's great growl as it causes the realm to shake. Fighting your way through the Rajaska, you find her singing to the beast as it perches on a wall watching her.
After you and Zerith-var fight Ravith-morna and defeat her, Cantor Krin'ze will sing the Song of Binding and Zerith will attempt to redeem Ravith-morna's soul. While you are successful, this does not stop the Moon Beast which leisurely jumps down from the wall and stalks towards you:
- Cantor Krin'ze: "But the moon beast. We are too late!"
- Ravith: "You can banish it, tamiiti. The two of you, together, now!"
- Zerith-var: "Krin'ze, Ravith, sing! Tamiit, aid me! Let your hand guide mine!"
- <Ravith and Krin'ze sing in tandem, and it begins to sway unsteadily. Meanwhile Zerith-var uses his power the Moon Beast, and you will need to add your own power>
Zerith-var will need to strike it with his power twice, on the second hit:
- Zerith-var: "Rise, Hidden Moon!"
- <Zerith-var's Moonclaw glows brightly and the Moon Beast breaks apart with blue light.>
- (?): "The moon beast. It fades into the Void. We did it!"
