Merchants are Khajiit commoners that appear in various parts of Northern Elsweyr. Some will be frightened off before you can interact with them, but they'll yell before they run. Others will cower, and you can pickpocket them.

- Merchant: "I hear squawking. Wait. It's behind me, isn't it? Time to leave!"
- Merchant: "Hello? You're not squawking, by chance? Ziss!"
- Merchant: "Want some advice, walker? Never wait around to find out what made a horrible noise!"
- Merchant: "This is what I get for killing every chicken I see, isn't it? Best flee!"
