What a disconcerting feeling. One day everything is fine, the next worry and anxiety fill your every waking moment and you're certain something is missing. Something important. Something vital.
I am experiencing that now. I feel as though something I knew intimately and completely yesterday vanished. Not a trace remains except for a vague dream. My work suffers. I've asked my fellow ciphers if they are experiencing the same sense of loss. They quickly look away, refusing to answer.
I know this sounds insane, but I think reality has somehow changed. Someone or something has erased what was true and absolute just yesterday. And the worst part is, I have no idea what I lost.
My superior has cautioned me against this, but I must speak directly to the Great Eye. If something altered reality, surely our master would want to be informed.
Perhaps I'll even be rewarded for noticing this change.
