A Cure For DroiEdit
In the Keeper's home if you have not started the quest, you will hear her say:
- "Droi's fever grows worse."
Her comrade Droi was struck down with a fever by the bewitched. She needs you to find Kyne's Breath flowers to save him:
- "A fever curse grips poor Droi. If we don't cure him soon, I fear he'll become one of the bewitched."
- Tell me what happened.
- "Droi was sent to the shrine ahead of the brigade, to let the Keepers know we were coming and give them time to prepare.
When we arrived, we found Droi like this, burning with fever. I've been trying to care for him, but nothing seems to help." - Is there anything I can do for him?
- "There's one thing I haven't tried yet. There's a flower that's been known to cure a fever. It's called Kyne's Breath. It grows around the rune stones that decorate the grove.
A handful may help save Droi's life. Can you get some for me?" - I'll find some of these flowers for you.
Speaking to her again:
- "You should be able to find Kyne's Breath by the rune stones scattered throughout the grove."
Return with the foliage and she'll will mention it will improve Droi's chances of recovering:
- "I smell fresh Kyne's Breath! It reminds me of when I was a little girl, running through the fields in spring.
I miss those simpler days." - I hope I collected enough of these flowers.
- "Oh, yes! This is more than enough. The flower is very potent. Thank you!
With these, I should be able to reduce Droi's fever." - Will Droi recover now?
- "Droi's fate is in Kyne's hands, but his chances are better now. I'll continue to watch over him until he wakes up.
Since he was here before us, it's possible that Droi knows what happened to the Keepers. We need to find out what he saw."
For Kyne's HonorEdit
You may talk to her after you've saved Droi and finished the quest Shrine of Corruption. She will send you to Captain Alhana at the head keeper's house to see what else can be done about the disgruntled keepers:
- "Let Droi rest. I'll watch over him until the Kyne's Breath does its work."
- Is there anything else I can help with?
- "Captain Alhana should still be at the Keeper's house. Hopefully she's come up with a plan of some kind by now.
I'll continue to watch over Droi. Find the Captain and let's put an end to this so we can finally get out of here." - I'll find Captain Alhana.
After you witness Alhana collapse from being controlled by the witches, you leave the Abandoned House and you'll hear a familiar voice:
- Fresgil: "I hoped to find you over here."
Fresgil is hurt from an attack from Ghain who happened to be possessed the entire time. She had no choice but to abandon Droi risk being captured by the disillusioned keepers. You will learn Keeper Ormi's son Sahun is alive all along while she thought he was dead during the war. You will need to decide whether to kill Keeper Ormi or try to have have her son to convince his mother to stand down:
- "It wasn't Droi we had to worry about. Ghain was under the witches' control the entire time. I just thought he was drunk and moody.
Once the Captain left, he attacked me." - So how did you get out here?
- "I put a knife in the big oaf's neck, but not before he unlocked the door. The witches swarmed inside. I had to leave Droi there so I could warn you.
Where's the Captain?" - She's dead. The Keepers are the witches.
- "Then it's over. I'm the only one left.
It's kind of funny. We came for a blessing, but we were defeated before we got to the war. Why did the Keepers turn against us?" - Ormi and the other Keepers lost loved ones to the war. They blame Kyne.
- "Wait, Keeper Ormi? By Kyne, she thinks her sons are dead? I knew her sons! I served with them.
Sahun survived. She doesn't know? No one told her?" - Too many people have been hurt or worse because of Ormi. She needs to die.
- "You're right. Ormi and her witches destroyed my brigade.
There's something going on at Kyne's shrine, up on the hill. My guess is you'll find Ormi there. Make her pay. For all of us."
- "You're right. Ormi and her witches destroyed my brigade.
- I need to find her son. Maybe we can get through to her and bring her back to the light.
- "She killed and cursed my brigade and you want to save her? Fine. I'm in no shape to argue with you.
Sahun spends time drinking in Windhelm at the Cold Moon Inn. Helps him forget, he says. Go drag him back here if you think it will help."
- "She killed and cursed my brigade and you want to save her? Fine. I'm in no shape to argue with you.
Speaking to her again if you choose to seek out to kill Ormi:
- "End the witch. For all of us.
Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. This tree's doing a great job of holding me up."
Speaking to her again if you choose to find Sahun to try to talk down his mother:
-
- "Find Sahun at the tavern in Windhelm. Since he lost his brother, he's been drowning himself in drink.
I'll be fine here. I just need to catch my breath."
- "Find Sahun at the tavern in Windhelm. Since he lost his brother, he's been drowning himself in drink.
If you choose to spare Ormi, you will find Fresgil back in the Keeper's house, she will mention that the witches decided to treat everyone, presumably under Ormi's orders:
- "Kyne sent us a miracle, my friend.
When some of the witches showed up here, I thought we were finished. Then they started tending to our wounds. They left without saying a word. I'm so confused!"
If you choose to kill Ormi and successfully completing that promise, you will find Fresgil escaped with the help of with Kralald and Yllolda near the wayshrine. She will find help from Windhelm to retake the grove and go back to serving in the war once she recovers from her wounds:
- "You did it, didn't you? Ormi is dead. You avenged my brigade. Thank you."
- I see you made it out all right.
- "I did, with a little help with these two. They found me dragging myself through the grass, making too much noise for my own good.
But I did get to gut one of the witches on my way out. Made me feel a little better." - Go to Windhelm. Tell them to come send someone to clean up this mess.
- "Oh, I will. And the sooner I can rest and recover, the sooner I can head to the front line and fight for our king. That's where we all should be right now.
Here, please take this. It was Droi's. He would want you to have it."
If you exit the conversation before turning in the quest, she will say:
- "You did it, didn't you? Ormi is dead. You avenged my brigade. Thank you."
- Go to Windhelm and have them send someone to clean up this mess. (Leads to quest completion dialogue)
