Quest-Related EventsEdit

During the quest, Laen the Doorwalker will ask you to find her fellow performers. You'll find Buzul hiding in the werewolf valley:

"Look out! Those Houndsmen are everywhere!"
I know, but don't worry. Laen sent me to find you.
"She did? She hung back when the rest of us ran. I thought … no, I was wrong.
Have you seen my mate, Dadazi? She was with me, but I fell and had to hide."
Haven't found Dadazi
Have found Dadazi
I haven't found Dadazi yet.
"Please, you've got to find her! I twisted my ankle when I fell. I don't know what I'll do if the Houndsmen have her!"
Dadazi's safe. She's headed toward your camp.
"Thank Jone and Jode! I twisted my ankle, but I can keep moving since Dadazi's safe."
Can you make it to the camp on your own?
"Yes. I am sure I can make it to the camp, especially if it means I'll see Dadazi again.
But, there is one more thing. I hate to ask, but …."
But what?
"Our instruments! When the Houndsmen attacked us, they stole our instruments!
If you search their camps, you'll find them … or perhaps the shape-shifting bastards are still carrying them around. Please say you will find our instruments!"
If everyone has been rescued
If not everyone has been rescued
Now that all the minstrels are accounted for, I'll go after your instruments.
"Thank you! While you're looking for them, I'm sure I can use any, er, distraction you provide to sneak back to our camp."
Let me find the rest of the minstrels, then I'll see about finding the instruments.
"I'll meet you back at the camp. Go ahead and fight the Houndsmen! That'll distract them so I can escape!"

Speaking to him again if you haven't found his instrument:

"Those drums are the best I've ever had. Now that you've found us, please find them!"

After returning with the lost instruments, you'll find everyone at the camp. Speak to Buzul before speaking to Laen and he'll tell you:

"My Dadazi's safe. That's all that matters to me."

After defeating Grimclaw, he'll say:

"Grimclaw will never complain about our music again!"

After completing the quest, speak to him before you leave:

"You'd never know my drum's been battered about by Houndsmen, would you?"

DialogueEdit

At the Handfast celebration:

"You'd never know my drum's been battered about by Houndsmen, would you?"

NotesEdit

  • At the end of The Misfortunate Minstrels, Laen mentions that they all do not know the same songs. Each of the four NPCs though play at the same time, all perform different songs creating a strange cacophony.
