Ainenya was a High Elf who could be found in her family home within the Elven Gardens District. Her husband Canuldil died trying to find help, leaving his wife to shelter in their old home. You would find his notes and inform Ainenya of his fate during the related quest.
Canuldil was the author of two notes: Canuldil's Plea and Canuldil's Note. The former would have started the related quest.

Speaking to her during or before the quest:
- "If you're looking for Canuldil, he's not here. He should be back soon, I think."
- "When Canuldil gets back, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind. He's left me alone here for days!"
- "Oh. I heard footsteps and thought you might be my husband coming home at last. I hope Canuldil is all right."
Speaking to her after the quest:
- "If only Canuldil had stayed home with me, he'd still be alive now."
- "Thank you for bringing me Canuldil's note. At least I know what happened.
Don't worry about me. We stocked enough supplies for both of us. With just me, I can hide here for a long time."
- "With Canuldil gone, there's nothing to keep me here any longer, aside from the certainty of instant death if I leave the house."
