The Aetherion Core is an orb of magical energy that appears in Skyreach Pinnacle whenever Aetherion is slain. As long as the core remains standing, Aetherion will continue to reanimate shortly after death. The orb itself has no means of defense.
If the core is not destroyed in time, Aetherion will reanimate on top of the orb, following a large magical shockwave. However, the damage applied to the orb during the initial attack will persist after slaying Aetherion again and making the orb reappear.
