Oblivion talk:Brindle Home
Gold AmountsEdit
When I went there Astante had 12k and Merildor had 10k gold with them. I was level 48 then. Was it because of that? --Mankar Camoran 15:09, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
- I'd guess "Yes". Given that their weapons are leveled, it would make sense that their money is too. That will need changing on the page if anyone can get better info. (beyond my meager skills, I'm afraid!) --RpehTalk 15:23, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
- Checking the CS, it looks like the NPCs have 745 gold at level 30 and a random chance of carrying enchanted equipment if you are over level 3. (except for the Nord, who will always have magic arrows) I don't know what could cause them to have so much gold in your game though. Perhaps the leveled gold is appended to rather than replaced whenever the cels reset. Just a theory though... --Saruuk 20:03, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
Thanks for your quick answers. --Mankar Camoran 09:36, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
Contradicting itselfEdit
This page contradicts itself.
"Brindle Home is a village between Skingrad and Chorrol (quest-related)."
then...
"Its residents, though not involved in any quests..."
Minor problem, but I should point it out, really, because I don't know if it's intentional. Zander 05:56, 16 October 2008 (EDT)
Sorry, it was dumb of me not to read the page. Nevermind. Zander 05:57, 16 October 2008 (EDT)
HorsesEdit
Perhaps it's noteworthy to say who of the 3 villagers owns the horses. It might be information needed for the ONPCRP project. Wolok gro-Barok 17:27, 29 April 2009 (EDT)
- Incredibly, none of the villagers own them. At the start of the game, there are four horses: two black and two paint. The blacks are owned by the Cheydinhal Stables faction and Voranil, whilst the paints are owned by Oghash gra-Magul and Bazur gro-Gharz. In other words, all by Cheydinhal people.
- It looks to me as if a lazy developer simply copied and pasted the whole Cheydinhal Stables cell into Brindle Home and didn't change any of the ownerships. The door to Astante's house is owned by the Stable faction too. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 03:51, 30 April 2009 (EDT)
- Okay, thanks! Wolok gro-Barok 08:25, 30 April 2009 (EDT)
- I have another question. You say that at the start of the game four horses are present, but the Brindle Home page states that there are only 3 horses. I have only seen three myself as well, so where's the fourth? Wolok gro-Barok 07:18, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hmm. There are definitely four in my game, and four are present in the CS. Are you sure the fourth isn't somewhere nearby? –Rpeh•T•C•E• 08:45, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- I don't have access to Oblivion right now, but I have never seen four in the stables, but perhaps the last one is close nearby. Also, the Brindle Home page needs an edit because the page states that there are two paints and one black. Wolok gro-Barok 08:54, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- For the record, I have four horses in my game as well. Krusty 09:00, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- Since I'm the only one who has not found four horses (not sure, only in this save file there aren't four, one might have died or run away? Might have been a bit hasty), it doesn't really matter. I will change the page accordingly then. Wolok gro-Barok 09:11, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- What do you have? Two blacks and a paint, or two paints and a black? –Rpeh•T•C•E• 09:28, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- Well, I don't have Oblivion right now, but I believe I only had one black. Not completely sure, though. I will check all this on Morndas, when I should have Oblivion beside me. Wolok gro-Barok 09:39, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- Having checked it, there is one black horse missing in my recent game. I don't know why. But when I started a new game, all four horses were present. I think we can safely assume that there are indeed four horses. Wolok gro-Barok 13:57, 11 May 2009 (EDT)
