Recover the trader Hamill's crates for him.
Quest Giver: Hamill, in the Arena
Location(s): None
Reward: An empty bottle, three or seven superior healing potions, and 1 daedric skin
ID: ODDDesertKistenQuest

WalkthroughEdit

In the Arena, there's a trader named Hamill who has an open-air stall. Someone has stolen his crates, so he'll ask you to help him out. Take a look around, and you'll find a key on Kelma's table that goes to the Arena cellar. It's owned, so you'll have to wait until she's not there to take it. When you do, check out the cellar and you'll find the missing crates. When you return them, he'll reward you with a few potions and ask you to find out who took them. Asking around (or using your head) will lead you to Kelma, who says she did it because she wanted to get his attention.

When you tell Hamill, he'll ask you to bring her a letter; she'll agree to meet Hamill at midnight. Not being a fool, Hamill will ask you to accompany him, since the desert is dangerous at night. And this night is no exception - Kelma's really out for his gold, not his love. She brought some friends along; you'll have to kill them before they get Hamill. If you do, he'll give you four more potions and a daedric skin. If he dies, you won't get the healing potions, but you will find the other potion on his body.

Missing Crates (ODDDesertKistenQuest)
Stage Finishes Quest Journal Entry
10 Near the Arena, I met a trader who has lost his crates. They were apparently stolen from him overnight. He offered me a reward if I can return the crates to him.
20 Underneath the Arena, I discovered the crates of the trader who is camped out there. Who put them down here?
30 I brought the trader Hamill back his crates. As a reward, he gave me an empty bottle and three superior healing potions. He said if I could find the thieves, he would give me a very special potion with a permanent effect.
40 I spoke with Kelma - treasurer of the Arena. It seems like she stole Hamill's crates, as she wanted to attract his attention. The girl has probably fallen in love with him.
60 I told Hamill that Kelma is apparently in love with him. He wants me to give her a letter from him.
70 I handed Kelma the letter. She will meet Hamill at midnight.
75 Hamill said he was pleased that Kelma has accepted his offer and wanted to meet with him. However, he wants me to keep watch on the nearby tower. The desert is a dangerous place.
90 Kelma seems only to be interested in Hamill's gold. She emerged at the agreed meeting point with some bandits and attacked him. Maybe I should try to help him.
100 Finishes quest  Hamill seemed very disappointed, but he gave me my reward and a few healing potions as a bonus.
120 Finishes quest  Hamill died in battle.
Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  •   It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDDesertKistenQuest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
