WalkthroughEdit
This quest starts when you find a note in the mineworkers' barracks in Galu Oasis. It tells of a woman named Larsa who's looking for her father. Go north to the Arena and check in The Limping Sandrunner. You'll find another note there, which points toward the Silver Mine. Near the mine, you'll run into a slave who, for some water, will tell you that he met Larsa a few days before; she was going west.
Some time later, you'll find her journal, which says she went north to the Dead Mine. Her dead body is lying outside, obviously murdered. Her ghost appears to you and points toward the Assassin Castle. If you don't have access to the castle, the quest ends here; otherwise, you can go in and investigate. What you're looking for is in Alberto's quarters, on the floor near the door - a blood-smeared dagger. Picking it up will give you the final quest update (as well as a nice weapon).

Stage | Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
10 | A small note in the miners' barracks. It seems that a young woman named Larsa is in search of something or someone? What, exactly, is not clear from the records. It looks like she wanted to go north.
20 | In the tavern The Limping Sandrunner, I found a page from the Larsa's journal. It says that she is looking for her father. She suspects he is somewhere in the silver mine.
30 | In an oasis by the silver mine, I met a thirsty man named Lorgon. He met Larsa few days ago, when she was heading west on the road.
40 | I found Larsa's journal, and it indicates that she moved north. To the Dead Mine of the Assassins.
50 | I found Larsa's corpse, but it doesn't look like thirst or Mephala's heat killed her. The body shows clear cuts.
60 | Larsa's spirit appeared next to the Assassin Castle. She pointed to the inside of the castle. I suspect that I will find her killer there. But since, as a Khajiit, I'm denied access to the castle, I will never know who her murderer is. (If the player is Khajiit) or Larsa's spirit appeared next to the Assassin Castle. 70 | Alberto! Alberto, the Assassin, is not only Larsa's father, but also her killer. The Assassins' path is bloody. |
- Notes
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage ODDDesertFindeVaterQuest stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
