Marcel Amelion

Marcel Amelion is a Breton farmer living in Water's Edge. His daughter, Biene Amelion requests your help resolving Marcel's gambling debt. Unfortunately, a tragic mistake by mercenaries later leads to the death of most of the residents of Water's Edge. Marcel is the sole survivor and is left mourning his daughter.

He does not exist in the game until the Infiltration quest is complete. In his grief, Marcel simply stands at the center of the village, surveying the devastation surrounding him, neither eating nor sleeping. He wears a randomly-chosen lower class outfit of shoes, shirt and trousers. Even after the related quest is finished, he still stays in the same spot indefinitely.

Marcel's words are understandably depressing. When you first encounter him, he will ask "My poor Biene. Poor, sweet Biene. What monsters would do this? How can this have happened?" When asked what happened there, he says "I wish I knew. They're all dead. All of them. Even my poor, sweet Biene. You... you're the one who helped her, aren't you? You helped her pay my debt. I heard about you. She never hurt anyone! Who could have done this? What monster would do this? It wasn't the goblins. It had to have been bandits. But, why? We have nothing! Please go. I must bury our dead." After that he will just say "This can't be happening. This is horrible." and "There's nothing more to say. They're all gone."
