You should not be killing the main Ashlanders. That might break the main quest. You could probably pickpocket them. In most quests, the objects exist before and after the quest. --Brf 21:13, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

While I may be about a decade late, giving the questgiver a thwack does indeed prevent you from having peaceful relations with the camp but the amulet is indeed on the questgivers body. Safe to say both rewards can be kept if she's pickpocketed. 37.247.2.146 10:49, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
