Lore talk:Mehrunes' Razor
Rusty DaggerEdit
- "While most Daedric artifacts are bestowed directly by their Lord unto a deserving servant, the Razor has on occasion been discovered as a rusty, unremarkable dagger.{{ref|name=Morrowind}}{{ref|name=ONTrouble|[[Online:Trouble-Finder|Trouble-Finder]]'s dialogue in [[Online:Online|ESO]]}}"
There's no point generalising like this in the opening paragraph. The razor has been found twice as a rusty dagger, which hardly sets a precedent. Besides, in Morrowind you get sent to retrieve it directly by Dagon - hardly a discovery. This sentence is simply incorrect, since there is plenty of evidence of Dagon bestowing it to servants, i.e. every single quest it features in (bar ESO?). The whole purpose of the Nefarivigum is to test worthy champions. Each event is already described in detail (which has been marked for cleanup as being "game-specific", but I digress); I have to repeat that there is no point in generalising. —Legoless (talk) 19:08, 30 April 2014 (GMT)
Sighted in ESOEdit
I don't have the wherewithal or the wiki knowhow to put this in myself, and anyone can feel free to delete this later.
But I just finished City of Ash II and happened to notice a certain dagger being worn on the hip of a certain female Bosmer.
Kind of surprised it isn't mentioned here, but it is an easy detail to miss since the NPC only implicitly points it out in an optional conversation after the quest is over.
Given that its whereabouts are only rumored in the events of ESO besides this instance, it should be considered a vital part of the Razor's history.
Sorry if this isn't the right place for this. Feel free to add Shi'Nya on PC/NA to ask questions/yell at me. 24.10.166.123 10:54, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
- You're correct, and it really should be noted here. I actually have an image of it somewhere
that I forgot to upload. —Legoless (talk) 13:29, 11 July 2017 (UTC) - Actually, here it is. I'll update the article. —Legoless (talk) 13:33, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
