Tansal was a master swordsmith and sword-singer from the early-mid First Era. He forged a sword first wielded by Makela Leki's father, which bore a serpent's crest. That sword would then pass on to his daughter, Makela, who became one of history's most well-known Ansei. The sword broke at the battle of Bangkorai Pass while she fought King Joile's armies.[1]
