Archaeologists is a mod for Daggerfall Unity which adds a new guild for archaeology. It was authored by Hazelnut. The quests were written by Jay_H and Zadroter provided the new signpost outside the guild halls.
The Archaeologists are intended to be a non-spellcaster alternative to the Mages Guild, providing many of the same functions and a few unique benefits. A Mark of Recall is given to Archaeologist recruits, allowing them to teleport to a chosen place without the use of magic. A unique Locator device allows players to see the quest item they are looking for inside a dungeon, though it first requires the player to explore the majority of the dungeon before revealing the location.
InstallationEdit
The Archaeologist Guild is installed with a .dfmod package. Move it to the /DaggerfallUnity_Data/StreamingAssets/Mods
folder of your Daggerfall Unity folder. When you enter the Daggerfall Unity setup page, head to the left section, Mods, and ensure the Archaeologists mod is enabled (green box filled).
AdvancementEdit
The Archaeologists have an Intelligence requirement for each rank, in addition to the reputation and skill requirements that are common to other guilds. This requirement increases as follows:
