Speak to Ananril at her stand in the Bruma market and she will ask for your help in gathering some missing ingredients. In particular, she requires three portions of cairn bolete, three portions of clouded funnel and five portions of milk thistle branch.
The first are mostly found in caves, in particular The Beast's Maw, the Bruma Caverns and Capstone Cave, as well as Fort Horunn and the substructure of Fort Pale Pass. Clouded Funnel plants are spread right across County Bruma, with large amounts in the Bruma Caverns, Frostfire Glade and Underpall Cave. Milk Thistle plants are slightly more concentrated, particularly in the northeastern reaches of the County, in the area between Sedor, Hjalti's Refuge and Lakeside Retreat. Several individual portions can be found in the Serpent's Trail and in Northfringe Cave.
Once you have all the ingredients, report back to Ananril. She will reward you with 100 gold for each set of ingredients, as well as another 300 when you've brought her all she asked for. In addition, she will give you three potions made from the ingredients: a Potion of Healing, a Potion of Magicka and a Potion of Firelight.

- The final Milk Thistle quest objective asks you to bring Ananril 3 portions. In fact, as specified by the previous objective, you will actually need to collect 5 before she will pay you. ?

- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage CYRBrumaFF01 stage, wherestageis the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest usingresetquest CYRBrumaFF01.
