The cult of Jagar Tharn attempts to take over the Empire

Appalling Visions, and a Mysterious Note

15th of Sun's Dusk

It had taken the party longer than expected to return to Bruma to restock. Along the way, they met up with an elf named Adruin, a former assassin. They were torn about whether to trust this Adruin, but eventually decided that they needed another member, no matter how distasteful and deceitful.

On the 20th of Sun's Dusk, they trudged into the Arcane University, exhausted, yet eager to continue deciphering what could be a threat to the Empire. Varus, a member and teacher at the University for many years, hurried off to the Mystic Archives in search of more info on Jagar Tharn, while the rotated sitting by Vincente's side while the others searched for more information in the Imperial City. It happened to be at lunch in the dormitories that the group got another glimpse of something truly strange.

The group had been searching for four long days for any clues as to what may have been behind Vincente's strange coma, but on the fourth day, things began to turn for the worse. Cornelius, Na-Wur, and Varus, were sitting with Vincente. It had been a long day of work, and nothing had come of it.

Varus happened to look in the mirror and saw Vincente staring back at him with bulging red eyes.

Immediately, Varus turned around, but saw that Vincente's eyes were closed once more. He called to the others and told them what he had seen. While he was speaking, Vincente rose from the bed and grabbed Cornelius by the throat.

"You, Imperial, do not give thee loyalty toward the master, Jagar Tharn," Vincente screamed, eyes bloodshot, with an angry, almost hypnotic stare. "The master incarnate will be arriving in just a few days. All of you will see nothing but the glory that Jagar Tharn will bestow upon the Empire once more!" Vincente then released his hold on Cornelius and fell back into unconsciousness.

The party was stricken with fear over the possibility that Tharn had actually come back. They redoubled their efforts to find any information. Varus found the fourth and fifth volumes of the Real Barenziah series, which he showed to the others. The books said that the Staff of Chaos was reforged to defeat Jagar Tharn in the past; it would be a good idea to reforge this staff once again. However, was it Jagar Tharn they were after?

One night a flicker of light beside Cornelius' bed awoke him; he rose to see it illuminating a note on the floor. The note read:

Come find me. I'm disillusionment, I'm the demystifier. I will uncloak the invisible, deface the imposter, and defeat the guilty. I am entropy, I am the broken. It is time for the simple to overcome to complex. Find chaos, come find me!

On the back of this note were the words:

I am waiting below the voices of the Emperor.
