Awei is an Argonian merchant who loves to cook; her passion has led her to open The Gallows Cookhouse, a public kitchen in Bravil in the Bravil Docks.
Awei gets up at 6am every morning, eats breakfast for two hours, then opens the shop for business. She remains at the counter, serving customers, until 10pm, when she closes up and goes to bed.
She wears a sailor's shirt, breeches, and sack cloth sandals. She carries a hunk of salted meat, a loaf of Anvil rye bread, and the key to the shop.
Awei lives above the shop with her husband, Wamesa and their child Nesi. The place is rather large by Bravil standards - the shop itself is on the first floor, with a workspace/storage area and their bedroom on the second floor and their son's bedroom on the third.
She is quite friendly and always happy to see new customers: "Oh my, you're looking rather thin! Tell you what, you find a seat, and I'll cook you up something nice, hot and filling..."
