WelcomeEdit

Hello! Sorry for the late welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. I see that you have already contributed to some NPC pages... thank you, keep up the good work and enjoy! --SerCenKing 13:47, 18 February 2009 (EST)

Thank you so much! I have enjoyed your page for quite some time and felt it was about time, that I did something in return. So I've started out as a tester for the newly written NPC schedules. I can't write them from scratch because I don't have acces to CS (I'm on the PS3), so I hope you guys get some more schedules written very soon! As I'm not in position to check mission-specific schedules at the moment, please do some "ordinary" NPCs - and let's finish Skingrad first. I already know most of the NPCs in that town...
Again thanks for the warm welcome! Krusty 14:07, 18 February 2009 (EST)
My pleasure! I felt I had been welcomed very warmly when I first got here and I think everyone deserves it! I'll get started on Skingrad Mages Guild in the next few days if you are interested. --SerCenKing 14:13, 18 February 2009 (EST)

If you just put those Guild-members on the Oblivion-ONPCRP-Schedule-Unchecked-page, I'll be glad to help out. My problem is all the mission-specific Necromancers that's in there. It's been months since I became Arch-Mage, and I really can´t start a new game file at the moment. All the best! Krusty 14:33, 18 February 2009 (EST)

Don't worrry about the quest specific Necromancers; as per the Skingrad Mages Guild they aren't yet in the category because I still haven't started them (yet)! A small note: 'schedule checked' goes after 'schedule'. It doesn't really change anything in the tag but is just clearer. Keep up the good work. --SerCenKing 06:22, 19 February 2009 (EST)

Talk page confusion?Edit

I think that the comment you posted here was instead meant to be posted here. Is this correct? If so I'll move the first comment on the second page, just to avoid confusion. --SerCenKing 11:21, 11 March 2009 (EDT)

You´re absolutely right! Thats what happens when you follow too many people around! Thanks in advance! Krusty 11:36, 11 March 2009 (EDT)

My work.Edit

Afraid I don't own the CS. I do all my work painstakingly by hand, stalking the citizens over the course of a normal day. Your truly is a 360 owner (well 360 borrower) so that's how I do all my pages.

I don't mind somebody editing my work where appropriate, that's what wikis are about. If you find an error in my schedules, etc, by all means correct them.

Thanks for the advice.

NPC Redesign Project.Edit

Hello thanks for the message yesterday. No worries about that got to learn some way, i appreciate the help. I am interested in helping out, i'm thinking of working my way through the house contents checking everything's ok first. I'm playing on the Xbox so i'll be checking everything in game. Hope i can be of help, thanks for your time. Processed 09:04, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

NPCs' dialoguesEdit

I want to thank you for adding more dialogues to the Mages Guild NPCs. I've had a feeling I missed out on some. It seems that when you join the Mages Guild, some dialogue options dissappear. Also, some NPCs never seem to introduce themselves again, Adrienne Berene for example. Thanks for double-checking. Wolok gro-Barok 14:49, 1 May 2009 (EDT)

No problem! I was completing all of the Recommendation quests anyway, and just added some more as I went along. (Spooky thing is, that most of the guild members lose their "Arcane University"-topic, when youre allowed access.) When I'm done with Leyawiin, I'll go talk to each and every member again. Before joining the guild. Then we should (more or less) have all those non-IC guild members nailed, dialogue-wise - with the exception of the master trainers... Keep up the good work! Krusty 04:19, 2 May 2009 (EDT)

SpellingEdit

Please can you read this page? I've lost count of the number of British spellings I've had to fix in your edits. If I can adjust, so can you. –RpehTCE 14:47, 25 May 2009 (EDT)

Yeah yeah, realise/realize, recognise/recognize. Believe me, I'm trying the best I can. I have tried text edit programs and stuff like that, but they don't pick up on this site's policy for (British) spelling. And as I spend between 1 and 6 real-life hours on each NPC-page, I truly expect that someone can spend two minutes correcting whatever mistakes I make. Krusty 16:11, 25 May 2009 (EDT)
I spend a hell of a lot of time on this site and it's perfectly simple to switch your browser to US English. And I have to spend 1-6 real-life hours checking everything anybody writes on the site. It gets a little easier if somebody can change their browser dictionary default. You've done some great, great stuff. I'm asking you to fix this one thing. Surely that's not too much? –RpehTCE 16:23, 25 May 2009 (EDT)
No problem! And sorry if I sounded a bit harsh above - it wasn't my intention and it was definately not personal. I'll look into that browser-thing ASAP - hopefully I can get rid of the spelling mistakes that way. All the best Krusty 16:51, 25 May 2009 (EDT)

Notice for 67.81.223.168Edit

Hey there!. Thanks for reverting that messy table edit earlier. I'm sure you've already seen this, but I wanted to let you know that I changed your warning to a notice, since as far as I can tell the user didn't actually change any information on the page. If you look again ([1]), you'll see the edit was actually just a couple of table tweaks. We often get edits like that from people who are experimenting with wiki markup, so I thought the corresponding notice would be more appropriate. Anyway, it's not a big deal--I just wanted to let you know in case you were wondering why your warning disappeared ;). Thanks again! –Eshetalk 20:47, 9 June 2009 (EDT)

Hans Black-NailEdit

Sorry Krusty, my mistake. I was far too quick to alter it. I just saw him coming out of the castle at 9:07 am, so I thought you made a mistake and that it must be 9am. But of course, it takes time for him to get out of the castle. I forgot that. My mistake, again! Wolok gro-Barok 14:05, 16 June 2009 (EDT)

No problem! I kindda got unsure myself, but he takes off from the private quarters at 8am, takes his time, and arrives at the chapel at 9.15 or so. Those times are tricky! :) Krusty 14:10, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, the times seem to depend on whether you wait or follow a particular NPC. And I also want to thank for replying on that Skooma barrel. I know of that discussion, but it didn't spring to my mind. I forget a lot these day, it appears! Thanks again. Wolok gro-Barok 14:14, 16 June 2009 (EDT)

Nice one!Edit

Hey, I just saw your edit to Borissean... Great work! Another one done! I'm hoping to be able to write some more NPCs in the future but playing SI and the summer holidays may not favour me. Hope I'll have the pleasure to work with you shortly. --SerCenKing Talk 09:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the Borissean page became "number three." Hope you didn't mind I removed a tiny bit from the Light the Dragonfires-section, but it seemed a bit "too much" given that you can't even access the University during the quest. Anyways, hope to see you back on the project soon - maybe with some Shivering-NPCs? Krusty 18:41, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Welcoming IPsEdit

Hey, we want to try to shy away from welcoming IP addresses for many reasons. These reasons are described by Nephele in an old conversation. Thanks. —Elliot(T-C) 01:06, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, so people posting weird numbers onto pages shouldn't have any kind of notice, except for some big Nonsense-banner? Alright, if that's the way "we" prefer it. Krusty 01:13, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, we don't welcome IPs, period. But if pay attention to the edit, you will see that is has a sexual connotation, therefore requiring a warning. —Elliot(T-C) 01:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Last time I posted a nonsense warning because of something similar, it was changed to a welcome by someone. In the future, I'll just stick to reverting and let "we" decide what message is appropriate. Krusty 01:20, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict) In this particular case I believe the edit was meant to be a rather vulgar "drawing," so a warning is more appropriate.
We don't normally use the basic welcome message for IPs for several reasons--mostly because it's easier to keep track of trouble IPs if their talk pages are red links, but also because most of the people making those edits won't ever see the message. However, if an IP makes an edit that appears to be simple experimentation or something else well-intentioned, it is okay to use one of the "Welcome and Advice" notices. It can often be difficult to decide whether an edit was well-intentioned or otherwise, so use your best judgment and we'll work from there :). We do sometimes get very productive IP editors who appreciate the guidance. –Eshetalk 01:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict) It can be subjective, yes. Please don't take a false connotation with my using the word we. I use it as term for the community. And that edit was nonsense, perhaps an obscenity. It needed a warning (as Eshe mentioned... it was a vulgar drawing). —Elliot(T-C) 01:27, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Actually, using any of the messages under Notices for anonymous IPs is completely acceptable in a situations where you want to provide some advice because of borderline edits. Given the good faith assumption, titling the notice with "Welcome" is also preferable. What we don't want to do is blindly post the default welcome message on every anonymous IP's talk page regardless of the situation. Then we'll turn into Obliviowiki, where even edits such as this are greeted with a thank you! message. --NepheleTalk 01:29, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Okay. No problems. I must admit, last night in my over-tired state, I failed to see the sexual content of the edit. At first glance, it looked like experimentation, so I just posted some friendly advice. Looking at it this morning, I can see much clearer. Sorry for the trouble! Krusty 10:06, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Happy Birthday!Edit

Have a great day :) –rpehTCE 07:21, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Quite late, but I hope you had a great birthday! Wolok gro-Barok 10:11, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
And a late thank you to both of you! Krusty 10:37, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Essence of BreathEdit

While gathering that part of the gate keeper I noticed that the blue breath that happens on intervals helps guide you to the essence of breath, I didn't know if it was worth noting however I know you and SerCenKing are both working on the Shivering IslesChronic 13:53, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip! We're just about to start a comprehensive project to make the SI pages better, and we will keep this tip in mind. Krusty 13:59, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Also I didn't know if it was worth mentioning, during the ritual for the new gatekeeper it states that the "Flesh Atronach is Unconcious" as if the player had knocked him/her out

EmailEdit

Do you have an existing email account I can e-mail your uesp.net mail password? Just e-mail me via my user page. Thanks. -- Daveh 21:32, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Madness ArmorEdit

Again, not sure if its worthy of note but the different versions of Madness armor have varying shades of yellow

CP ConversationEdit

Hey! See this conversation for my thoughts on the Store and Castle rewriting. --SerCenKing Talk 17:16, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Shivering RevampEdit

So, now that everything's sorted, I think we can officially get this thing going! I will be spending the next week or so finishing off Bloodmoon and will then be able to dedicate myself fully to SI. In my sanbox here I have drawn out an initial list of things to do. The following six quests are the ones I never played or finished in SI:

Could I delegate you the task of rewriting their quest pages? The work is mostly simplifying grammar and methods; as well as cutting useless chunks of text and implementing the quest stage template. Check out the main quest pages I've tried my hand at and just ask me if you need help... Gosh, we're gonna have fun! --SerCenKing Talk 14:34, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Hey there! As you might have noticed, I've already started writing NPC pages for the Shivering Isles - the pages for Big Head, Sheer Meedish, Pad-Ei, Rendil Drarara and Sontaire have been redesigned for the ONPCRP. I have also de-stubbed the Books of Bliss-page and have five Crucible NPC-pages coming up (researching right now) - and, quite some time ago, I wrote complete NPC-pages for all the Ghosts of Vitharn (and I would be a happy camper if you could do some CS checking and inventories somewhere in time). Speaking of the ghosts, and because I know that quest like the back of my hand, that will probably be the first one I will focus on. Also, you should take a look at this page where Dlarsh and I have rewritten the entire Baiting the Trap-quest. Right now, we are waiting for some images of the chambers. We have tried a different approach with that one - using Kiliban Nyrandil's funny intsructions instead of the old, boring descriptions. But yes, I'll take another look onmy favorite ghosts. Lets get going! --Krusty 14:58, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

BeggarsEdit

Hi, Krusty! I was thinking to help you out with some of the beggars that are still lacking of information. But there's one thing that bugs me, why did you post that Imus the Dull, Wretched Aia and Cosmus the Cheat, all of them wander near the Chapel of Arkay when none of them lives in Cheydinhal? I wanted to ask this first instead of just editing it right away, just to make sure.--MC S'drassa T2M 16:47, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey there! Thanks for the help with the beggars - it's been a side project of mine for six months, but I kindda grew tired of following them around, so it is great that you will. And to be perfectly honest, I wrote quite a few pages with the wrong Chapel in the beginning (and I don't even know why), so if you stumble across any mistakes, feel very free to correct them. --Krusty 00:09, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
No problem, and feel free to correct any information that I add and you see is wrong :) --MC S'drassa T2M 00:24, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Difference between Needing and FixingEdit

The point for needing an image is for an article that does not 'currently have an image. Compare the following templates: {{Needsimage}} and {{FixImage}}. There is a massive difference and we need to consistently do it the right way. –Elliot talk 09:36, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

That is okay. Just point me towards the relevant discussion and I will stop reverting. --Krusty 10:17, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
