Hello user "Aristeo"Edit

I would like to say sorry for the message you posted i love Oblivion, it rules and i will scold my daughter for being an ass and editing your pages lol. Can you tell me what is the best race to play as? I've used the 0rc, loved on EQ2 but it wasent so good on here any thoughts?

Please email me at darkness@cebridge.net

There's not a single "best" race. Personally, I like playing as a Bosmer female, but I'm sure a lot of people can't stand playing as a bosmer. --Aristeo | Talk 16:41, 1 December 2006 (EST)

Removal of Spoiler at Corvus UmbranoxEdit

Hi, Aristeo. Just wondering why the spoiler tags were removed over at Corvus Umbranox. Thanks. -- Dylnuge(talk · edits) 22:05, 30 November 2006 (EST)

We agreed that spoiler warning tags were kind of pointless, since our whole site is like one big spoiler. --Aristeo | Talk 16:42, 1 December 2006 (EST)
Ah. As it should be, in my opinion. Like the direction that your new userpage is taking. Oh, and:

I think I still sign the commment, too, so: -- Dylnuge(talk · edits) 15:44, 2 December 2006 (EST)

Is there any way we can rename some images that have been uploaded?Edit

Hey! I've uploaded some revised map images for Morrowind, and didn't use the established naming convention (shame on me). I didn't keep the images once they were uploaded, and I was wondering if there was any way we could just rename the images? Let me know if thre is -- it will save me from having to download each image from the wiki, and subsequently reuploading each image. If there is, I'll put together a listing of pages that need to be renamed. Thanks! --Hoggwild5 06:46, 4 December 2006 (EST)

No, I'm afraid there isn't. If you want to rename, you'll have to upload the image and propose the image with the old name for deletion. For the reason for deletion, type in something like "Image is has been moved to Image:Example.img in order to use established naming convention, making this image obsolete." You'll want to use the proposed deletion process outlined on the deletion policy page. Let me know in IRC or here if you need help. --Aristeo | Talk 02:44, 7 December 2006 (EST)

Possible Bloodmoon Bug - Chamber of SongEdit

I have followed the directions in the walkthrough several times and am certain that I have mimicked the first 4 tones correctly (both per my ear and the helpful walkthrough. After I follow the tones in order, they simply repeat again and don't change.

I thought you might like to know about it in case someone else is playing the older game and hits this snag. — Unsigned comment by Slyfoxxy (talkcontribs)

Alright, I'll investigate this. Thanks! --Aristeo | Talk 02:46, 7 December 2006 (EST)

Image questionEdit

It's my understanding that screenshots of Oblivion are copyrighted by Bethesda. Does that mean that I can use screenshots from other sites because they are under the Bethesda copright? --Sir Newb de Mathenay 16:25, 13 December 2006 (EST)

Legally, I believe so. Morally, it depends. If it's just a screenshot of some guy in Oblivion, then it really doesn't matter. However, if it's apparent that the person who created the screenshot put a lot of work into making the screenshot, then I would ask that person's permission. --Aristeo | Talk 15:31, 14 December 2006 (EST)

Aristeo, did ChatSpike go out for too? - Magnus (December 16, 2006 9:26GMT -4:00)

I forgot. :) --Aristeo | Talk 13:36, 18 December 2006 (EST)

RSS feedEdit

I'm asking everyone who has been using the RSS feed to view Recentchanges lately to consider avoiding it for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, the server seems to be having some problems with the RSS feed, which is one important factor leading to server shutdowns such as the one that happened this weekend; see UESPWiki:Community Portal#UESP server problems for more details. So if it would be possible for you to not use RSS until January, when hopefully we can figure what is really going on, I think it would help the site alot. Thank you! --Nephele 11:23, 18 December 2006 (EST)

No problem. I've been taking a little bit of a break from the wiki (not that I have any choice with the condition the server is in), so I haven't been monitoring the changes lately. Anyway, I'll keep that in mind and I await your clearance for when it is safe to use the RSS again. --Aristeo | Talk 13:36, 18 December 2006 (EST)
Thanks, Aristeo. I know you hadn't been using RSS as much lately, but there were a couple of broken connections from your IP address that appeared in the server logs on Saturday. --Nephele 10:54, 19 December 2006 (EST)

Thank you...Edit

I wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks, Aristeo, for the message you left me so long ago. I appreciate your concern, and hope to return fully at some future time. -- Graye 12:38, 24 December 2006 (EST)
